Im using a 2 myself since the release of sc2 beta, my 2v2 mate uses one as well. At work we use a few 2 and 3 ones, so far we had no dead one. If you are using Windws 7, you will have no install, driver or whatever issues. I would not recommend anything besides Windows 7 when using an SSD anyway since only Windows 7 has the proper ATA TRIM command for proper SSD operation.

Uhm, that wouldn't help in my case since I would still need a bigger ssd than 60 GB. And reducing the loading times is basically the reason I have an ssd... (I also play a lot of single player games where the multiplayer factor is a non-issue). By your reasoning there wouldn't be any reason at all to get an ssd. I mean how often do you start windows? All I'm saying, the way I use it, I'd just be annoyed if I had a smaller unit than 120 GB.

This is a pretty immature industry and if even the great giants, like Intel and Crucial, can completely mess up the controller's firmware, how can the little guys like OCZ, Corsair, Patriot, and SandForce guarantee the quality and reliability of their products? Okay, I guess that's a fair point, but given how much stuff an SSD controller has to do and keep track of, the compression shouldn't be adding a very large amount of extra complexity compared to the rest of normal operation. It's a few splashes in the bucket. As you allude to, this has way more to do with size and ability to do extensive hardware and firmware validation and testing (but if so many resources were spent on testing, profit margins would be much lower or prices would have to be much higher, and you'd probably still have issues).
