The key bindings on all the keys is fucked up (and this when i changed keyboards as well, tried 4 of them, so i'm pretty sure it's windows). I went in language and checked it's supposedly still in qwerty, but qwerty for this computer apparently means wsvztf..... I don't know what else to do (tried the obvious rebooting). edit : fixed i have no idea how...

Also the hypertx3 is a good at cooling on stock settings, but if you overclock its going to be running on 100% more often and its pretty damn loud at top speed (I have one).

Also try to see how you like the price of a build with i5-4670k. It's socket 1150 and you need a Z87 board for that. It also seems to get hotter, so perhaps use this cooler when comparing prices of the two builds: http://geizhals.de/zalman-cnps14x-a805165.html

What would you consider a current gen processor? @Ropid I will check the coolers thx ![]() Edit: 700€ because of an additional Windows 7 version.

Don't buy that small cooler you had in your list. If you don't want to pay more for a CPU cooler with a larger fan, you could just skip buying a cooler for now. The "box" version of the CPU comes with an Intel cooler and you can use that. You can buy a larger cooler in the future when you are unsatisfied with performance and want to try overclocking. I actually bought and tried that board you have in your build. It limited overclocking as the board itself got very hot and slowed the CPU to protect itself. I heard the ASRock Z77 Pro3 uses better parts and should be similar price. It's ATX instead of mATX but that still fits in the case you chose. You could save another 15 € with a cheaper case (but I have no suggestions). There's also a Zalman Z9 USB 3.0 case with three fans for the 50 € you are looking at currently. This PSU should be a bit cheaper than what you chose and alright quality: http://geizhals.de/xfx-pro-series-full-wired-edition-bronze-450w-atx-2-3-p1-450s-x2b9-a708267.html

My pc does run quit a lot and my core would run alot on over 70°C. Still i just had to put new Heatsink paste after about 3 years. Still i feel more secure having a seperate strong cooler since i want to play a little with overclocking (thats why i want that "k" version). About CPU: So if i really want to use an extern cooler would it be better to buy a "naked" processor? About MoBo: I checked both the pro3 and pro4. The reason i took the pro4 was that (like i explain below) i want to have a MoBo which i can build in my current build but also can upgrade the pieces over the next few years ![]() About PSU: Are 450w not a little to less? My current PSU in my 4 year old pc has 400w and im pretty limited and the reason my PC is almost dead at this point is electricity xD Also i wont be able to upgrade TO much, if im limited with an PSU, would i? About Case: I checked the Zalman and it looks nice but a few previews said that the build in fans are very loud and run almost on 100% all the time without beeing able to change the speed. If i keep the BitFenix but add 1 or 2 additional fans would it be ok? @Blaec Yes, i cant really spend more. But i did put together this build in mind that i can upgrade it over the next few years.

Power supplies consist of multiple rails. The major power components (GPU and CPU) draw power from the 12v rail. Modern good units provide nearly all of its advertised power on the 12v rail. Most other components draw power from the other rails and are not relevant since they don't need much. Older units had their power divided more evenly across the rails as CPU power was provided by 5v back than and no one expected GPUs to be so power hungry? A typical overclocked i5 and ~$250 modern GPU will only use roughly ~250w under a gaming load, give or take depending on how mild or insane your overclocks are. A Superflower Golden Green is sufficient for any modern reasonable single GPU configuration. Pro3 and Pro4 are essentially the same thing. I think you have your head too wrapped up around "upgrade". You can keep a case, heatsink, and power supply for a decade or more so why not spend more on these components if you were really concerned with "upgrades". A Z77 and Core i5 3570k is already last generation. Wasting money on the motherboard is stupid since you can't upgrade to a newer processor without replacing the motherboard as well (and DDR4 if you are getting Skylake in 2015/2016). What I find is that most people who say they are spending more on the motherboard to upgrade later typically doesn't upgrade...

That cooler you chose is probably wasted money. You should really choose something with 120mm fan, and you shouldn't buy something random as some coolers are a lot better for a good price. I listed all coolers I remembered as being good choices from reading reviews and looking at performance comparisons. The CPU without box and without Intel cooler is sometimes about 10 € cheaper, but not always. Only buy the "naked" CPU if it's cheaper and you buy a good cooler. Warranty is somewhat shorter if you don't buy the box, but I never heard of a CPU dying early by itself. You chose the Pro4-M board, not Pro4. I don't know any details about the Pro4. It's more expensive than Pro4-M and Pro3. You don't have to think about upgrading after you buy this CPU and board. It's the last CPU that goes in this socket 1155, and it's the strongest CPU for games you can choose for this board. The next socket is 1150. You will have to buy both a new board and CPU for your next upgrade. It will definitely take a bunch of years until you need to think of upgrading the CPU. You don't need a stronger PSU... There's nothing reasonable to upgrade that needs a stronger PSU. For an upgrade, you could buy a second copy of your current graphics card and run two cards in Crossfire, but that does not make sense, I feel. You could instead buy something of the current generation of cards. A current generation card would double the performance of your old card, so would beat two old cards running in Crossfire. The current generation card won't use more power so you won't need a stronger PSU. The power use goes something like this: the CPU will use 50 W with a little overclocking, at most 100 W with the limits you'll have with your board and a solid but cheap cooler. The graphics card uses 100 to 150 W, I'm guessing. Then throw in 50 W to be safe, and you end up at 300 W power use at most for the system. The 450 W PSU is a good choice as it will never have to run at 100 % and will always manage to stay cool and won't need to let its fan run fast and noisy.

My computer is brand new and fairly high end. So there should be no problem on that account... When I minimize SC2 to browse a bit or watch a stream, it crashes when I reopen SC2. Not every time, but like 20% maybe. A window puts up with a fatal error message (from blizzard). I can reopen the game instantly. It seems like it crashes more often when I have a stream open. Is this a common problem? And is there and easy fix. Ty /Mozdk
