From norway;
had problems viewing the FXO king of the hill tourney on justin.tv last night. Unwatchable due to choppy stream, at all quality settings. Tried several browsers.
12mbit downstream, i7 950/12gb/580gtx, no back ground tasks running, restarted pc several times. To no avail...

so i'm watching dreamhack, and it's being streamed on justin.tv
july vs thorzain, tense moment
banelings in position, marines out in the open
could be huge
casters start screaming
LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG
i miss the entire fight
as i type this, still watching dreamhack
thorzain about to move out with big army
8 banelings burrowed below his ramp
could be huge, will they hit?
casters start screaming
LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG
i miss the entire thing, and i have no idea what happened
seriously, this is killing me

justin.tv added a video problem report feature to their player, this makes me happy

still experiencing this issue while watching nasl finals, it seems to occur more often than not during a big battle or good moment that you need a stable stream the most for

Stop using adblocker and I give you the solution.

thank you so much for adding something constructive to help with the issue that me and many others have been dealing with for months
i also appreciate that you do this at a time in which i am unable to see any battle the 3-3 grand final nasl match of puma vs mc
once again
thank you -_-

I support this thread. I have experienced lag in every single SC2 event streamed on jtv, so I can only watch stuff like NASL and EG MC from vods. It is absolutely a jtv issue, and I hope they become aware of it and fix it soon, since they are currently the most active supporter of SC2 streaming.
|
Yeah, I'm also having the same issue and I live in the US. NASL was unwatchable. I'm half glad I never payed for it, but honestly I wish I had just for the vods because I only saw snippets and frames of what happened in game 7. Sucks. Good to know its not just me! Please fix it JTV

i am still, and currently experiencing this issue watching dreamhack valencia even in 480p
please try to tell me my connection isn't good enough to watch a 480p stream
in general i have been experiencing this issue less, but it still exists just fyi

seems like many people(myself included) are experiencing this lag while watching the mlg global invitational
http://www.twitch.tv/MLG_Live
i think justin.tv has given up on fixing this issue, they are ignoring my 16k view, 14 page thread that i made on their tech support forum back in march, i laugh when i read posts of "give them some time to fix it"
i think 7 months is long enough to wait for an update

I am having the same lag issues, only with Justin.tv/Twitch.tv. No other of the streaming sites seems to have any problemas.
As this seems to be a widespread problem, and has nothing to do with computer, software or connection, why don't we take this to the streamers, and ask them to change services? If Justin.Tv starts to see their streams and audiences lower and lower because of this, they will have to do something about it.

because justin.tv pays the players
they would be perfect if they fixed this issue, but for me they are unwatchable because of this issue

For last couple weeks I'm completely unable to watch any justin/twitch stream. Started using a US proxy today...no lags at all. lol

Soulforged could you explain how did you use a US proxy please? i tried myself but all i get is "You have been blocked from using Justin.tv services, for more information please visit this page to learn more." I have the same problem as everyone and i too have good pc and internet (50 down, 10 up), for example watching destiny at 1080+ i have the same lag as in OP's video, but 720p is fine.
|
I'ts getting worse, last three days 720p is lagging on destiny's stream, does anyone know if justin.tv is working to fix this for EU viewers?
|
Bumping this again, looks like JTV still as bad as always. Lots of users were getting lag during IPL, and now again at IEM (seems the SC2 stream is alright but LoL is unwatchable). If you have problems, please e-mail tournament organizers to persuade them not to stream on JTV any longer. JTV has known about these issues for a long time and does nothing to fix them.

Is there some major problem with Jtv this weekend?
Yesterday IEM had lots of lags and later the stream was even shown offline for me even though others were watching it. I did some F5 party and suddenly it worked again - with lags.
Today it didn't load again at all. Tried different Jtv streams and none loads. Just dark screen or still image as if the stream was offline. Tried different browsers - nothing. Tried mobile phone via Wifi - nothing. Tried phone via 3G - still no Jtv streams loading. (Normally all of these things do work)
I don't get it how this is possible without Jtv having major problems as I tried different devices and different completely independed internet connections. But with major problems I'd expect lots of posts on that issue and that's not the case. So I'm pretty confused at the moment.
edit: Just tried it again out of curiosity and after 1 1/2 days of problems everthing seems to work again. Didn't do anything besides watching MLG.

It is a major problem, it's been happening for a long time. Welcome to the lucky group of us who can't watch anything on jtv.

So its been about 7 months, and i still have this issue during the dreamhack finals
I haven't received a response from justin.tv in months, so i guess they really don't care anymore
Pretty disappointed.
