Im having the exact same issue as above mentioned these last few days. I do not think it is a problem on our side (Country/region) because everything else works fine. It is impossible to watch any stream via JTV with the constant lagging on any setting.
Anyone else from DK and or Northern Europe experiencing this? Ive looked at the JTV forum but there is no threds about this.

I believe that it is a problem with JTV's hosting platform, they've recently had a huge swell in viewership, which is eating up more bandwidth than their network currently supports. This causes little lag spikes for people in certain areas of the network during heavy traffic hours.
I have no idea if I am right or not, but it is the most logical explanation for the problem, and seeing as your internet appears to be quite nice and your browser and flash are up to date the problem is most likely on their end.
I myself have not experienced lag on JTV in awhile, and it's always an issue that is experienced by all people watching streams when I do. Anyways, hope this helps keep people from trying to solve a problem with their computer/connection when none exists.

Since about one week me and a friend experience the exact same problems when we want to watch justin.tv streams. Before that time everything was fine and even 1080p HD US-streamers no problem. But since 3-5 days the streams are almost unwatchable. Even if I choose quality 480p and below.
Some1 else from Denmark/Scandinavia got this problem? We have a 100mbit down/ 80mbit up connection so its definetly not us...
|
I've always been able to watch justin.tv on the best quality. But now I have the exact same problem. Tried reinstalling flash, remove temporary internet files etc. I'm from Denmark too btw.
|
Yea i have the same problem to, have a few co workers that have the exact same problem, and all other streams not run on justin.tv runs fine, its only justin.tv, sad thing is its prolly gonna be really hard to find a solution to, if its a region problem, and its not justin.tvs servers fault in some way, cause how do you ask your isp to fix your problem with one single homepage but i really do hope some solution comes up, ive also tried to reinstall flash
From denmark to btw hope its not only a DK problem, cause then we will prolly never get it fixed :D
|
It used to work fine for me, but since I reinstalled my OS (Win7 32 bit ) a few days back, I've had the exact same problem.. Watching White-ra's stream right now ( He uses JTV ), and it lags to the point where it's unwatchable, which is a shame since Mr. Ra is my favorite streamer : (
I'm sure that it's not my connection, but I'm too lazy to test it atm.

Right so atleast peole from DK get this problem i see. I have emailed JTV about the issue and will post any reply i get. There is no info from any major ISP in DK on their operation information page about this. I work for one of the major ones (On vacation atm though:p )so ill try to get in touch with some network operation dudes and see if there is anything they can do/ or atleast 100% comfirm its not on our side.
Edit: Would be nice if people from DK with this issue could post the following so i have some data i could go on with. Please post with these paramaters:
Your browser and version Flash and version Operation system ISP and connection type
Tracerouter: Go to a commandpromt and write the following tracert justin.tv > trace.txt Copy the content in the file in your post.

Uhh Tolabakai sounds nice, would be awsome to be able to rule out our ISP :D

OS: Windows 7 Pro 64Bit ISP: Tele Danmark 50/5 xDSL
Tracert: My tracert actually looks kinda wierd 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms web2.justin.tv [199.9.249.20] 2 19 ms 19 ms 19 ms web2.justin.tv [199.9.249.20] 3 136 ms 136 ms 136 ms web2.justin.tv [199.9.249.20] 4 136 ms 136 ms 136 ms web2.justin.tv [199.9.249.20] 5 140 ms 140 ms 137 ms web2.justin.tv [199.9.249.20] 6 * * * Request timed out. 7 * * * Request timed out. 8 * * * Request timed out. 9 * * * Request timed out. 10 * web2.justin.tv [199.9.249.20] reports: Destination net unreachable.
Though ive tried tracing a few of the other webx.justin.tv servers, they all stop at 6
ive tried streaming from my work to, just to test if the connection had anything but ive seen the same lag there to, though earlier today it actaully ran smoothly for a time

Same problem, also from Denmark. A work around is to shift between resolution and quality(low/high) as one guy said. It took me a few minutes but then it works with no lag at all. Just don't change it after that
|
there might be something about the change of quality untill you get a stabel connection, ive just noticed when i tried a stream now, that it is going flawless, and then a ran a tracert and noticed it pointed to the web1.justin.tv where the other times it was the web7 or web5 i think, so im gonna try and play a little tomorrow with getting it to pick the web1 when i wanna see stream, to kinda test if it has anything to do with what server you get connected to perhaps, there might be something there.
Mactator could you try and run a tracert to justin.tv when you streaming runs smooth to see wich server it points to
|
Yup same problem, from Denmark as well. Everything was perfect untill about one week ago when all JTV streams became unwatchable.
ISP is Fullrate
|
The log from tracert is the same as Wesh's above. The problem with the lag is not consistent though. Some streams run smoothly at low quality, others at high quality. Probably just a temporary problem.
|
|
Having the same problem, sometimes it doesn't lag whatsoever but 90% of the time it's unwatchable.
Tried in these browsers: IE 8.0.7600.16385 Opera 11.11
Flashversion 10.3.181.22, tried some older ones too.
OS: Win7 64bit
ISP: FastTV 100/100
The tracert command in cmd doesn't do anything for me. I might have done something wrong tho.

I'm from Denmark and have the same problem.. Though it seems like some streams from jtv do not lag for me, while others do.
