For some reason, my comp keeps crashing. i've come to believe that my graphics card maybe the problem, but i might be really wrong. My comp keeps crashing when: 1.300-400 food armies. not even cool when the main battle hasnt happened 2. surfing the web. Not even funny when im trying to check my email and then it crashes, wtf 3. after crashing like 30 minutes before 4.Any other game randomly. 5. while streaming
So, imma give you some abstract info on my comp specs, but imma update in more detail later
Core 2 Duo Quad Yorkfield Antec Earthwatts 380W Biostar motherboard, cant find the box yet, gonna find that. all i know is that it supports DDR2 and DDR3 ram ATI Radeon HD2450 500Gb Seagate hard drive 1GB (2x) Nvidia SLI RAM a DVD burner
What i find weird about it, is that how it crashes. I usually have some music playing (either by streaming or my own on comp) or some kind of voice communication thing like skype , and whenever the comp crashes, the screen goes black, but then my music keeps on playing, and my friends on skype can still hear me raging at the comp crashing.
This has been happening for over 2 years, and my bro has replaced the motherboard (cause i broke it) and also the CPU (upgraded from core 2 duo). the comp keeps crashing no matter what, which is freaking annoying.
so what i want to know is: 1. Will replacing a piece of my hardware help? 2. Do i need to update some drivers or stuff? 3. Chill out and wait to buy a new comp?

Doesn't sound like you're very tech savvy or knowledgeable? You say you have an Radeon 2450 but you also say you have Nvidia SLI?
Have you tried disabling SLI if you do infact have SLI...? edit: well you only have a 380w PSU so I doubt you have SLI so I guess nvm.
First, check your graphic card temperatures with MSI Afterburner.
Second, update to the latest graphic card drivers which can be found on www.amd.com.
Third, update your chipset drivers and BIOS which can be found on your motherboard manufacturer's website.

Yeah, i dont really know much about this kinda stuff. but i just googled it, i dont see how this will help at all, cause i only run the thing on one monitor. worth a try though.
EDIT: How does this help 0.0 i only have one graphics card.... i dont run multiple monitors, and what i understand from overclock.net and wikipedia, it means that its cerified for some multiple graphics card stuffs.
need moar help please, thx

Your RAM isn't SLI. SLI is basically multiple nvidia video cards running in sync. Lots of stuff you can do with SLI, but it has nothing to do with your problem nor your RAM
Do not update your computers BIOS. You will create more problems than you have more. Updating drivers may be good idea though, updating video cards drivers mainly.
I would first start checking your temperatures periodically, it may have some sort of indication as to what the problem is? If something is overheating, that's obviously a problem lol. So I would suggest downloading Everest Ultimate. Finding a free version of Everest isn't very hard but it might take some digging on Google.
But anything that can monitor your video cards heat, motherboards heat, internal case heat(maybe?), power supply heat and CPU heat will work. Anything that looks higher than average, worth looking into.
So update drivers, get a system monitoring program and check your heats periodically.
Theres a bunch of other stuff you can try, but imo, this is the easiest and may point you towards the problem.

=D ill check that out
aparently theres a free version of everest so ill check that out for now, ill update some temps in a bit
Edit: wtf Temps dont pop up in this program, its just comp specs. is there another program to view all temps on comp?

Everest gives you temperatures, you just need to look for them.
When you open Everest up click on computer>Sensor>look at the temperatures listed.

kk thx found it, though it only lists like the temps of my CPU and two hard drives.
is it abnormal to have a CPU temp like 48c just browsing the web?

Running stock heatsinks, no that's not unusual.
Do you see any GPU temp benchmarks in there?
