Audio Output Switching Macro

Hello,

I recently purchased a Razer Blackwidow, (side note: I love it!), and want to take advantage of the macro keys on the left for things other than the typical keys.

The Goal:
- I want to set one of the macro keys to switch audio outputs from headset to speakers.

I have tried searching google, and past thread topics. I apologize if I did not use the right search terms and the answer is right in front of my eyes.

Also, if anybody else has any nifty ideas for the other 4 macro keys, that'd be awesome.

M5: I probably will make this my push to talk key.

Are you running Windows 7?

You need a program that can global hotkey to change the audio output stream, because Windows does not have hotkey support for that by default. Such a program would be easy to make, and I wouldn't be shocked if one already existed. You might check some of the more fully-featured media players to see if they support this feature, and then just mimic that hotkey with your M1 button in your profiler.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but without knowing a specific program, the best I can tell you is to search, search, search!

That does look like a viable option if my headset was also 3.5m. Unfortunately, I use a usb headset, and my speakers are attached to the 3.5 port on my computer.

Also trying to take advantage of the macro keys on the keyboard ^_^.

Use a program such as:
http://www.quicksoundswitch.toflo.de/eng
or similar software to set up hotkeys to your audio devices. Using the software from your device to set the macro keys to the hotkeys you set.

I did find one called SoundSwitch. This one was buggy and didn't end up working.

A couple people recommended working with AutoIT to create a script for it. But after 30-45 minutes of messing around with it, I think that I can't figure this program out.
