Does it matter if I have diferent screen-resolution in sc2 then in windows?
I have in windows : 1920*1080 sc2: 1440*900
Windows mouse settings 6/11, Enhance pointer precision; off, and I even added the reg-fix. Sc2 settings, 54% Razer abyssus settings 10/10, 1800dpi, 1000Hz polling rate..
Please help, So that I can sleep well! I am a perfectionist

Yea thats true thou.. Hmm I get better fps with lower res in sc2.. But not that much of a diference, just in big 200/200 fights. Well as long as it isnt skipping pixels and such..
Thankyou!

I have in windows : 1920*1080 sc2: 1440*900 ... Your muscle memory would benefit from the same sensitivity in Windows and SC 2. Maybe you could lower your details (see here, for example) to get more FPS at the natural resolution of your LCD.
|
You should be using your suggested screen resolution for SC2, I tried using something different and the only difference it made was if I wanted like really fine detail or not
- Also I hate wireless mice as well, i find they don't respond well at all unless they are extremely good quality which are redicliously expensive. I have felt and or used one good one in my life and it came from the UK.
- Other than that I love Razar products

I bought a tron mouse cause well i thought itd be cool to see and i got a discount, but the thing feels like im holding a toaster in my hand. I think im gonna try to get a zowie mico, i use to like logitech minis a lot. I've been using razer krait and abyssus and copperhead, before i loved them all except they didnt last very long. My favourite razer mouse was the krait though.

Well that about muscle memory sounds logical . I do aldready play on low settings with shadows completely off. I shall benchmark some with native resolution, and see if I can play with it then. And HeLkAt, Abyssus isnt wireless

I currently have Razer Salmosa, but I need some help on choosing another mouse. I love its size and shape with 1800 DPI which is perfect for me when playing SC2 (and I use 6/11 on mouse setting with no mouse acceleration). But what I've been not liking about it is that it's so hard to click fast left and right because its buttons are pretty stiff even though I used it for more than a year. I realized this even more when I played the osu! rhythm mouse game recently hardcore. Even if I grab the mouse perfectly comfortable for me (and yes, I have my own way of grabbing my mouse, sort of a hybrid of fingertip/palm grip; it took a while to figure out D: ), the force required to click the buttons subtly distract my mouse movements when I have to move and click really fast at the same time.
And I don't think I am gonna choose SteelSeries Xai, Kinzu, and Sensei since they have unnecessary customization stuff like changing CPI to 5000+ and colors. But I still want small mouse like Razer Salmosa. So, what mice have 1800 DPI, size that's less than or equal to Razer Salmosa, mouse buttons that are easy to click, and without all the customizations of colors and overkill DPI settings, and are not so expensive?
Thanks.
Edit: I probably will end up buying Razer Abyssus, but I'm not sure. Does its buttons feel lighter than Salmosa's?
Edit 2: Okay, now I am having a trouble choosing between Razer Abyssus and Zowie MICO. I read from other thread that Zowie MICO's shape is like Logitech Mini Optical which is very comfortable for StarCraft, but its sensor is not as good as Razer Abyssus. And Zowie MICO's mouse clicks a bit heavier than Razer Abyssus. Ugh, what I am I gonna do now? x(
Edit 3: This is probably my last choice: SteelSeries Kinzu V2 Pro Edition. Nothing too fancy, no more unnecessary customizations of DPI and colors, but pure quality, and not so expensive ($45). I'm sold.

Im very close to buying Zowie EC2 with corepad skatez, but right now my head is all fuzzy after all the reading, so Im asking if this mouse would be good for me if I want
- No acceleration - Used to kinzu at 400dpi (love it so far) - If the skatez are good (swedish people at maxfps.no is reporting it to be crap) - I used 400dpi on my kinzu, I like low sensitivity
I have a hard mousepad, should I consider changing a pad? I want as little friction as possible, but I cant stand glass though. I use hard plastic for now.
edit: just bought EC2, hopefully I wont regret. Was thinking on Steelseries kinzu v2 pro or Kanu, but I just have this feeling that Steelseries only care about profit, while Zowie felt it cared more about a good product.

Nope, this is not possible. The fix is watching the mouse ballistics and won't allow changes by any application.

So it looks like the Steelseries Kinzu v2 and Kana have solved the pixel jump bug with firmware updates 149 and 259 (kinzu/kana). It seems that 3200cpi is still crap on the Kinzu, but 1600 and under is ok now. The Kinzu still has a lower malfunction speed though which is bad for anyone who plays with low sens and might actually hit malfunction speed.
Also, in relation to the Pixart sensors in the new SS mice, the Roccat Pyra does not have the same pixel jump bug as the Kana (PAW3305DK-H) in any of the tests that I performed (firmware 1.13).
Edit: OP should be edited to clear that up in the sensor section.

For those looking for an opinion about the new Steelseries Kana, I've just bought it and configured it the way I wanted, but I haven't had any play time as of yet.
In terms of feel, it is not the best. The is no place for my pinkie, so it's left rubbing against my mouse pad and when I claw the mouse, it's a bit uncomfortable on my ring finger. The good thing is that moving my ring finger up a bit so that it is right next to the right click button, makes it very comfortable but coming from using the CM Storm Spawn for so long, where claw gripping it is godly comfortable, I need time to get used to it. Another note worth mentioning is that I had to disable the right macro button because while using it casually, my ring finger would press it at times.
edit 1: just now had some weird issue where the mouse "jitters". Could be tracking issue or sensor issue, I don't know, will update if it happens again

what are you thinking about the ktec ktm-9500 +? Is this mice good, or should i buy another one? (I found this mice for 8 € and perhaps i am going to purchase this mice)

I am in a bind. I love my Razer Imperator 4G's comfort factor. The mouse just feels so natural to hold. But I love my Razer Deathadder's sensor tracking experience better.
Do I stick with the comfort factor or the one with the better tracking?

It does seem to have decent specs, though I do not know much about the Avago A3080 sensor and I've never heard from anyone who has used one nor have I heard much about K-Tec. Looks like they are a Korean company, I think the risk you take is running into driver or hardware issues and not being able to get customer service/technical support. But for that money, and assuming you like the design, why not?

Could always try pulling the guts out of the Deathadder and putting in in the imerator :D Aside from that I would say stick with comfort.

Keep us up to date! Kana looks like a nice mouse, if they could fix the sensor issue I might think about getting one...

I'm going to wait a bit before I edit anything until it's really been confirmed by users that it is fixed.

Pages 88-94 show users on OCN and ms paint data that show this bug has been fixed, at least for them.

I started with G500 and it was a pretty durable mouse...nothing really bad about it but it didn't fit well with my hands so I went on to get a Razer Lachesis
Now this mouse was awesome and loved the feel but the sensor is super sensitive and seems to attract dust near the sensor or something. It also tends to trap itself where it only move horizontal/vertical randomly...really annoyed by this so I went to buy another mouse...this time I got a Razer Mamba and it's just completely awesome...it was the perfect fit for my hand...the only thing I hate is the dust issue around the sensor...idk if this is for all Razer but I keep getting dust around the sensor
I might just need to replace my mousepad (had for about 6 months only though)
