I wouldn't object to trying out other similar mice with different shapes, esp since the price tag is so low and i used logitech (mx5--) for something like 8 years before i got the xai. people also reported the abyssus had some jitter issues but only on certain pads, and was seemingly ok on hard/plastic pads and as I am a long time xray thunder pad user it was fine for me... i wonder if the g100's jitter issue is similar? also chakeretam always good to see other persian gamers, esp ones that excel at their respective games :D ^^ ty, can u palm grip ur abyssus? how much smaller is it than the xai

logitech g9x: If you want customisability, are unsure what you want in a mouse or you play multiple games, it's a great mouse. Extremely comfortable, palm or claw compatible depending on which shell you use. As well as this, it has a huuuuuuuge DPI (which is fully adjustable over both X and Y axis [different dpis vertically and horizontally screen]). A lot of progamers use this mouse, most notably MarineKingPrime. The biggest con, is the built in acceleration; not just software acceleration, but built into the laser. This means it can't be turned off, and for me, I chose to buy a replacement mouse because it was too annoying (a Razer Deathadder). If you currently use steeelseries product or are used to using acceleration, this mouse is great however. If you're not keen on acceleration or not sure, it's a bit expensive to "try out". Logitech G5 (Similar to G500, but cheaper and only 2100 DPI): A really great mouse overall. Adjustable weights are nice, but if you're a claw gripper or like a small mouse, it's probably not for you. It has a few DPI options (200, 800 and 2100 iirc). 2100 is plenty if you're used to some trashy default mouse, but perhaps if you are used to a high DPI, may not be sufficient. Regardless, this is a great mouse, and super cheap ($35ish I think?). It looks pretty too :D

![]() as you can see it's a bit longer and fatter. the biggest things i noticed physically from the switch were the glossy sides on the abyssus that made my hand sweat the first evening i used it and the angular shape of the button part of the mouse (im more accustomed to the smooth rounded mice so i would find my fingers playing with the edges the first few days). clicking the actual mouse buttons also feels more distinct on the abyssus and while they both use omron switches something just felt strange with the xai, it is likely because i used the xai for a year and the abyssus is brand new but i thought i should mention it as i do notice it. also the aby is significantly lighter than the xai which was a huge plus. i use 1600 cpi generally so the 1800 cpi setting took some getting used to but nothing a cpi calculator couldnt fix in game..

There's built in acceleration in the laser?? I own a G9X and hate mouse acceleration, I have never noticed this. I also own a Deathadder, and I don't see any acceleration difference (i.e. both mice have none when it is turned off correctly). You know you have to turn off the acceleration for the G9X through SetPoint right? I'll also note that I really like the G9X and was surprised to read in the guide that lasers are less reliable than opticals. I was using a Deathadder on my (somewhat shiny) desk at first but it tracked unreliably, whereas the G9X tracks perfectly on every surface I've used it on. I also prefer the G9X over the deathadder because I use fingertip grip and the deathadder can be awkward for that (although it's nice for palming).

Another thing to note about the G9x, is that it's a very heavy mouse, especially for its size. The grips add about 70g to the mouse from what I've gathered. There's built in acceleration in the laser?? I own a G9X and hate mouse acceleration, I have never noticed this. Sometimes I have short bursts of mouse-lag in SC2, where I lose any control over the cursor for ½-3 seconds after which it returns to normal (trying to enact whatever movements, selections etc. I made). I changed to this mouse recently and it wasnt a problem with my old mouse (Logitech mx518). Any ideas what the cause could be? PS. Sorry I cant describe the problem in greater detail, but I cant force it to happen and when it happens im usually busy in the game :O.

I've attached the updated one. Crap, I always am misspelling things, or not cleaning it up lol.
