Also, should resolution from channel's setting and program's setting should be the same?
(from what I see, you can set channel's resolution at 1600x900 and xsplit's resolution at 1280x720)

http://www.own3d.tv/content/19/#help_xsplit From that guide, set your quality lower than 6 (I set mine to 1 since I seem to have low bandwidth) if you experience a bit of lag. It helped me reduce mine a lot. My frame rate is 25.00 fps. I didn't even bother with buffer size as the guide said; XSplit probably takes care of that I think. I set my max bit rate as 1500 kbps as the guide said. And I set my screen resolution and XSplit's resolution at 1280 x 720, and this resolution setting will be broadcasted to a Own3dtv's channel if you added a channel at own3d.tv website and added the channel to XSplit Broadcaster program. I think a channel's resolution setting and XSplit's resolution setting should be the same. Otherwise, you can have more broken pixels when you stream on your channel.

XSplit Setup Register for XSplit Broadcaster Beta here (only for own3D Live Stream user), Download & Install it. Important Notices: * Make sure you have latest graphics card driver * Broadcasting games is only possible in windowed mode Broadcasting with XSplit Broadcaster. 1. Adding own3D Channel * Go to Broadcast -> Edit Channels * On the right side click "Add" -> "own3D" * Username – your own3D username * Password – your own3D password * Quality – set quality to 6. Do not set quality 9-10 at high resolutions. * Max Bitrate – select the maximum video bitrate you want to stream with, we do not recommend the maximum bitrate to be higher than 1500kbps. * Buffer size – do not change this. * Resolution – set it to "Default Mixer Resolution" * Audio Encoding – we recommend 44.100 KHz Stereo with MP3 codec. 2. Click on "Apply" to save settings. 3. Go To "General" Tab * "Optimize for motion picture" must be activated * "Disable capture of layered windows" must be activated. * "Boost Capture Framerate" must be activated * Other checkboxes should be inactive if you don’t know how to use them. * Audio – select your microphone. 4. Adding Desktop Area to stream * Select "Scene 1" * Click "Add" -> "Screen Region" o To select whole screen just click once on the desktop o To select part of the screen click and drag the frame * On your preview picture you will now see the selected screen region – stretch it to full size by pulling the borders or click on the preview and then press key “1” on your keyboard and it will be automatically stretched. 5. Stream Settings * Go to "View" -> "Resolution" and select the resolution that you want to broadcast with. If your resolution is not on the list go to “Tools” -> “Settings” to the “Resolutions” Tab and activate the resolution that you need. The selected resolution will then appear on the list. * Go to "View" -> "Framerate" to set your broadcast FPS. We recommend 25 FPS. 6. Going Live * If the preview picture is too big you can scale it down by going to "View" -> "Scale Viewport". This is also better for performance during broadcasts. * To start your Broadcast click on “Broadcast” and click on the channel where you want to stream to, e.g. "own3D - my streamname". The stream will go live after you click on your channel. * To stop broadcasting go again to “Broadcast” and click on your channel name. Alternatively you can look for guides on http://www.xsplit.com/broadcaster/help/index.html XSplit Guides by the Community own3D.tv quick start manual -by Henning <-- ignore this since this may not always work for your comp

i also think guys at xsplit should write and produce more guides. so far their home page is damn boring and uninformative.
