I would like to play bf3 at max and Diablo 3 at max. here is what I bought many years ago and I would like to just replace what I have to for now with the option to continue in the future. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229038 What do you all think I should do? (I love this forum) Uhh, you have dual 4850's, they should be decent - probably they are held back by that CPU in some games, almost surely in SC2. But crashing should not happen.. have your checked your temps? Download HWMonitor and keep it on. If your GPU temps go over ~90* C under load (heavy gaming, or better yet, 10+ minutes of Furmark) you should consider opening up your case and using compressed air to clean those heatsinks and fans.

I'm getting just one good GPU and I will use dual monitors. But maybe later I want to get another GPU but maybe not. Also Im getting 4 gb ddr3 RAM How will these motherboards affect my build and my future upgrades? Depends what you want. If you want the ability to SLI/Crossfire in the future your motherboard will be more expensive - I personally don't recommend it. If you're getting an i5-2400 or i5-2500 (non-K version) then you have a nonoverclockable processor (well, insanely limited OC), so getting a p67 board is most likely overkill. Where are you shopping from?

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition: $119 HD Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB HD103SJ: $69 GPU ASUS Radeon HD 6850 DirectCU V2: $179 RAM G.Skill F3-10600CL9D-8GBNT (2x4GB) DDR3: $49 Motherboard ASRock 880GMH-LE/USB3 AM3 Motherboard: $79 PSU Corsair CX-430 V2 Power Supply: $59 Case Antec One Hundred Case : $65 DVD drive ASUS DRW-24B3ST 24X DVDRW Drive: $25 TOTAL= $644 The only items that I'm not sure of is the case and motherboard. This build is pretty low end and its really only for the short term (2 years). Other than general advice on how well the parts fit one another, I want to know if this build is viable to play the very new games (specifically skyrim) on a high setting. Cheers ![]()

You should probably be unsure about your processor as well . For less price you could get an i3-2100 and an Asrock h61m-vs motherboard. I don't know much about cases, but I've seen the BitFrenix Shinobi recommended on the last page or two, and that's a few bucks cheaper than the Antec. *shrug*

This is my cpu cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186134 and this is my case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147107 I have the 5 default case fans installed, 1 intake on top, 2 intakes in front, 1 fan on side and 1 on back. PSU is on bottom and GPU is located just below the cpu cooler. Right now I have the cpu cooler facing so that the fan on the cpu cooler is facing the intake fan on the top of my case. Now I am finding that the space between my CPU cooler and my graphics card is very hot, I think because the fins that are supposed to disperse heat just disperse it right onto my graphics card underside.. Can anyone help me out? My computer knowledge is pretty limited Thanks a lot!

It's suppose to be Front intake side intake back out top out Basically the flow of most of those is take air from the front push it to the back take air form the bottom push it to the top The cpu cooler can face so that it blows air out the back or out the top, most people have it blow out the back but sometimes memory restrictions force them to blow it out the top. either one is fine with that case as the cpu wont be blowing hot air into the psu as that's a bottom mounded psu.

It just so happens that they did a review of the Bitfenix Shinobi and uploaded it yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/user/HardwareCanucks

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cases/2011/08/05/bitfenix-shinobi-review/2 If you're paying that much for a case, get some features. I like hardwarecanucks for some things, but their video case reviews feel more like advertisements.
