I am looking to buy a new PC as soon as possible. I am trying to do alot of research(tomshardware) etc etc, but I am quite unexpierenced in these things and not everything makes sense to me and hopefully I can get the last answers in this thread. I live in The Netherlands(Groningen) and most likely the place where I will buy my PC is from
www.azerty.nl.
I just made this account on teamliquid and read through all the FaQs/rules and hopefully I am not doing anything wrong, but please tell me if I do something wrong, wouldn't want to get banned after the first post. The kind of games I play most are RTS and (mmo)RPG's with from time to time FPS games
Thanks in advance for reading/posting helpfull stuff.
What is your budget? My budget would be around 1500 euro's. It might be a few hundred more or less depending if I can get the lowest money/best quality
What is your resolution?I would like to have 1080P (ratio 16: 9?). Not entirely sure if I understand this question but I think this should be it.
What are you using it for?I will be using it mostly for gaming and try to stream as much as possible when playing games.
What is your upgrade cycle?
My upgrade cycle would be 2+ years, roughly when computer parts "decay".
When do you plan on building it?As soon as possible, best case scenario would be today/this weekend.
Do you plan on overclocking?I wouldn't mind overclocking but it's not required. As I mentioned at the upgrade cycle, I kinda want to upgrade it when stuff dies off and if with overclocking it happens 10 times as fast than I dont want to do overclocking. However if it's "relative" safe to do so, I see no harm in it and I think it would actually be smart to get.
Do you need an Operating System?I do need an OS, thinking about windows 7, but my brother mentioned a while ago that I can get OS possible really cheap, because of my study. I am not entirely sure(he is on vacation at the moment).
Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire? At first this seemed like a good idea, however I read that there are alot of complications with it and i'm not still sure if I should do it or not. Again if it's relative safe(I dont plan on downloading virusses or smacking my pc against the wall) I would like it.
Where are you buying your parts from? Most likely it will be
www.azerty.nl or if anyone else knows a better/cheaper place to get it.
Additional InformationAs mentioned before I have done "some" research before and found various stuff that seems nice, but I am not that great of a computer geek.
CPU: Intel Core i7-2700K Processor (seems to be the best quality/lowest money for the budget)
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3 (there are about two million choices but this one seemed quite nice)
Video card: Nvidia 680 (seems to be the best quality/lowest money for the budget)
memory: Kingston ValueRAM(8gig ram) (I have no clue what kind of brand to get and I didnt get any wiser from looking stuff up only that i need/want 8gig )
Harddisk: 120gig SSD for my OS + the game I play most(possibly sc2?). + one or two TB harddisk for the rest of the games/music/movies etc.
Case: I''m not sure which one, preferable one that cools more than enough, is regular easy to open and not too messy(incase I need to switch some parts and or clean all the dust).
Power: I'm not sure how much watt I need because obviously I dont want to overkill but I certainly dont want too have less.
Preferable two monitors. Have keyboard + mouse. I can get dvd players from my brother most likely.
Thanks once again in advance and any help will be a huge help. If I missed anything please note and I hope to answer any questions you might have.
With kind regards,
eXeCurudas
