I need a recommandation. Currently I'm using a Sennheiser PC161, which is pretty awesome and worked for 2,5 years now. But I drove a little bit too often over the cable with my chair and now the cable has a loose connection ![]() I'm thinking about new headphones with an additional mic and it would be cool to stay beneath 100€ for both. Any tips?

I've switched from Razer Imperator to Logitech G500, can I expect same build quality(durability, feel, good quality plastic) from Logitech headphones as well? I got these headphones for New Year and I am very very pleased with them. I am a SteelSeries fan but after getting the G35 as a present I don't know what I would buy next time. The previous comments explain the difference already but I would like this point as well. If you like very light-weighted headsets, and you play/work in a private area I suggest the SteelSeries Siberia 2.0. This headset doesn't put any pressure on your head, it kinda rests on your ears. But if you like headsets that are somewhat airtight around your ears (which neglect external sounds) I suggest the G35. The previous version sometimes gave you "warm ears" after a long time gaming, but these last version is very comfortable. I have worked with both and the sound is fine for gaming with both. Listening to series and music is better with the G35 (for me). PS: The G35 works with USB. This is for some people with laptops a problem.

My father has Roccat Kave - awesome sound, mic is broken also, it is very heavy but surprisingly comfortable - your whole ear is in headset and you cant hear anything "outside" I would go for Siberia v2, when my Barracuda brokes, I will definitely go for em.

Steelseries 5hv2. The left speaker stopped working on those after less then a year. I got them for free tho so I am not complaining. Fatalitys headset. Really cheap pair that was uncomfortable and the mic broke really quick on those. Some random Logitech USB headset. These last a couple of months before the speakers broke. Then I salvaged them and used the mic + a pair of real headphones. I am currently using Sennheiser HD-25 + a Zalman mic and they have lasted really long. The mic is really cheap and easy to replace and you can replace all cables on the Headphones.

Honestly, it feels like such a quality product I can't imagine it not lasting me at least ten years. However, I wouldn't recommend this if you have a big head. It's not a tight fit on me, but it's snug. I could see it being uncomfortable if you have a larger head. As someone who hates overpaying for things, this was well worth it imo.

I really hadn't been using the microphone that much in my 1 month timeframe (before I couldn't return them) and came to find out that it is super quiet unless you have literally RIGHT next to your mouth. No amount of turning up the microphone in Windows changed anything besides turning on microphone boost - but the problem is that the headset feeds the microphone back into your ears. So with boost on, you hear the noise of speakers static when you're not even talking. Also noticed that sometimes my ears would hurt over time. It wasn't always and really had to do with how the set "sat" on my head and ears (especially given I've got classes, it could crush my ear onto my glasses. Finding the perfect "fit" was kind of a pain in the ass and I haven't had issues with headsets and my glasses until this pair. Used it in Vent (had to have output of 10), SC2 (even maxed I was quiet) and had Win7 have the highest volume setting possible. (Using an HD-Omega soundcard). All in all, at the last second decided to get my refund. Still on the market I guess... using my super old Sennheiser HD 202s until I find something else.

Only problem is I'm pretty sure they stopped making this headset, so it's kind of hard to find. Don't buy any other turtle beach headsets if you're looking for quality though. I don't know how they managed to make the HPX, but every other headset they make is not nearly as good for the price.
