As long as I don't have to see other people's "unit model" changes, it's all good. I don't like this idea, but if other people want to change their units why not let them, as long as it has no impact whatsoever on the game I'm playing.
Besides that, yeah more models is always better. Worst case scenario: they're in the editor.

Meh, i guess this is okay, as long as the new skins dont make things hard to see. I can totally see there being some blend of skins that can make an army completely confusing.

Popularity is required for a good e-sport. Achievements is a great example of a feature that increases popularity without sacrificing gameplay as opposed to something like an easier UI.

But personally I wouldn't care for different skins. A cooler pregame icon/avatar would be fine though.

if nothing messes up on my screen, then they can make their shit look like starwars crap with pink glittery shadows if they wanted to. but if it messes up for me then plz no.

and if people want to pursue stupid achievements then let them it doesn't stand for shit.
Yea that looks just like Kang Min... amazing game sense... and uses mind games well, but has the micro of a washed up progamer.

Unless this would only affect the person using these alternate settings, this is a terrible idea.

Also, the only neat addition that would have some merit is to have icons for winning a certain number of games with a race, a la Warcraft 3. They should space it a bit more evenly for wins though. Instead of having 25, 150, 350, 750, 1500, they should use something a bit lower yet still extending [maybe] into the thousands. Maybe 10 icons instead of five or something. It would be more accessible to the casual players, as they could achieve three or four icons while just playing in their spare time, and also cater to the more dedicated crowd willing to amass over a thousand wins to display that shiny new badge. Theres definitely more than enough units to display, it would just be a matter of the order.
Maybe:
25, 75, 150, 250, 375, 525, 700, 900, 1125, 1500

or even beyond that.

Tyvm. Ah ok, yeah if you look closely at the barracks and a few other buildings and Terran units you can see their embalem on them. They are nice and imobtrucive but make your army feel a little more yours :D

Avatars is a cool idea, and I like the idea of unlocks for both the avatars and embalems. I just assumed that the embalem would be a custom uploaded bmp or something, but thus method is cool too.
