Phil Spencer 'excited' at the idea of more StarCraft
"Not only StarCraft, but WarCraft, when you think about the heritage of RTS games that we're talking about here, specifically from Blizzard," he said. "And I don't have any concrete plans today because I can't really get in and work with the teams. But StarCraft was a seminal moment in gaming, right?" - Phil Spencer

MS shouldn't hesitate to at least commit a little bit to the legacy games.
I know they're old, but honestly compared to alot of the games that get released nowadays, very very few have the replay potential of Starcraft/HOTS and all that stuff. They really just need active teams working on them and promoting them, they're worth it I think.

Warcraft 4 much more so than Starcraft 3 IMO. Warcraft IP is so much bigger with a movie, WoW and whatnot.

Since Microsoft also bought Bethesda, when are we gonna see Fallout: New Starcraft and Elders Scroll: Warcraft?

stormgate will do that, easily.

FFS Microsoft, pls add couple devs to Remastered! There's literally 1 guy working on it right now and only what he does is change maps once in 9 months. Recently he uploaded old versions of maps and it took like month and hundreds of posts for him to finally update map pool. This is really bad...

stormgate doesn't look like anything at all for now, period. Neither good nor bad. What have we seen so far? 3-4 still screenshots from a pre-alpha build? You can't judge that at all. It was clear they rushed ahead with the announcement of Stormgate just because they were offered a spot at that games award show or game-con thingy and hastily put together a shabby trailer (undercooked audio) and took a few screenshots at seemingly random to even have anything to show in the first place.
I'm erring on the side of cautious optimism here, but I reserve my judgment for when they actually show something that has some substance like a video showcasing the animations, the pathing, the UI, the micro, basebuilding, fights etc.

And that is honestly a bad sign imo. Show things when you are ready. Succumbing to marketing this early on does not give me confidence in the slightest.
As for the OP, well ya they are buying a multibillion dollar company, they should probably be supportive of their soon to be franchises. He is just giving the cursory PR statement.
