Hey all! Been a little too busy to make a thread myself but I'm Matt, and run most of the day to day of the ESL Pro Tour SC2 along with making all of these broader decisions with Apollo.
You got it right on the three main pillars we have, and if you want any more full details it's gone through in an article here.
Hard to say which one I'm happiest about but I think the combination of higher ESL Open Cup prize pool and ensuring we can coordinate on map rotations will be huge for keeping the competition fresh in the coming months and years.

Wow this amazing. These are the best places to put some extra ressources imo. New maps, ecosystem support, and some better storytelling for SC2. Just great.
So good, much appreciation to the sponsors and everyone making all of this happen. Every day I look forward to watching new high level Starcraft play so this is awesome.
This is the best news in a long time!. ESL Open (and similar weekly events) is so important to keep the scene alive and healthy. And new maps in the future... oh man! Shopify are the best

That would be so sick. We need more team leagues! Would love if we had 2 or at least 1 team event similar to the Warchest tournament
I love it! You can really feel those decisions were made for the ecosystem and the long term development of the scene! Exciting times ahead of the 11th year of SC2!
This is quite incredible, it will make the already fun to watch weekly tournaments more rewarding and attractive for both the players and the viewers. TY Shopify and ESL!

Because they partner with someone , doesnt mean that this game is not dead
We as community can really consider us lucky and should be infinitely grateful that these passionate people still work as hard as ever to support the game, thank you so much to everyone involved in making this happen!

The game was considered dead for quite some time when you decided to join this site, 4 years later here we are still getting monetary support for tournaments.
All great news but for me especially the signature series coming back is a huge morale boost. Getting to see more storylines about the players of the game we all love is ao awesome.
For the long term life of the scene top 8 payout and maps are obviously amazing as well, all of this really feels like changes that makes a difference.
Thanks everyone that made this possible!
(A treat to get to see and hear Apollo again, feels like an old friend)
