To the "play better players to get better". First of all, if this channel is for gold - platinum range, playing high dia/low master will improve mechanics but can actually result in worse league positions. e.g. when I'm on a losing streak, I play way lower players, sometimes too much lower. Which results in panic modes because what appears to be a proxy is actually later building. But I can't be sure about this because if it is a proxy I will lose with eco build. If you get used to higher players BOs then you will get confused against worse players. Well, at least I do  And I believe it's better if the loser have a chance for the win - which means a medium dia player would be better as there would be a skill gap but not that big. It's better for the morale of the loser. IMO But yeah, there's nothing better to get better than playing better players. But I can tell you that when I faced a smurf with 350 APM, precise macro and micro in gold(my losing streak as I am plat/dia with my zerg), it didn't give me anything. I got outmicroed, outmacroed and outplayed. Similarly the dude who killed me with pure unstimmed marines who was probably very high on his nonsmurf account. Didn't give me anything except sore losing. Well, it helped me, I didn't play SC2 for weeks so I had more time for other games  Before anyone gets mad about genders - word player has male gender in my mother tongue thus I use "he" for "player" | ||

I've updated the topic a bit to better represent the discord and make it more easy to read. Meanwhile we've built a structure to make it easy for coaches to find players who want to be coached and vice versa. We just keep on growing, already beyond 120 members now, we're soo excited :D There's been ideas to attach a clan to the discord as well for those players that are interested and we have plans on participating in the Chobo team league and just for the record this clan is 100% optional and no requirement for joining or participating in this discord. This is currently a work in progress. That's about it for now. | ||

Make workers. Make lots of workers. Spend the money you gain from those workers on ANYTHING and it'll be better than 95% of what platinum players are doing now. Even just make more workers and fight with them idc I've beaten other Platinum players doing that but just MAKE. MORE. WORKERS. | ||

So a little update again as it's been a while since our last update. And just to show we are still alive and actually still growing! Over 200 members now! We are currently even writing our own custom bot that will be used to improve the Coaching experience for members, we are very excited about this bot as it could be a very valuable asset to the server. We would also like to use this opportunity to let you guys know that we are looking for a few more coaches in the Diamond 1 and higher range. Specifically we need Protoss and Terran players who would like to coach in our server. If you are a Zerg player looking to help out then send me or one of the moderators a message, we are currently pretty full on Zerg coaches but we do have a waiting list that you can be placed on. Initially this post was started with an eye on the Platinum league players. This was quickly stretched to gold as well. But at this point we accept anyone from being unranked(new to the game) to Diamond 3 as we want to help all levels of players here. | ||

It's been a while since I updated this post. But I'd like to show you guys were are still very much alive and are still going strong! We've crossed the 300 members line in the meantime and we've been seeing a lot of people promote. Our coaching team has been expanded to the point that we are currently not even looking for new coaches. We've added a lot of very competent coaches and even scored the gem which is "Gamerrichy" a top 100gm coach. Furthermore we are very close to finishing our own unique starcraft 2 Coach Bot which is going to be a great addition to the Platinum Heroes Discord. And last but not least we've got our first proper 1v1 tournament planned which will run on saturday and sunday 18-19th of may. Depending on the signups we are going to run a Bronze to Platinum 1 and a D3 to D1 tournament for our players who have promoted out of their low leagues and some of our coaches. Prize money for our first tournament will be enough to buy a single unit skin from the blizzard store and some bragging rights in our server! I've got another update We've concluded a very succesful first 2 tournaments a few weeks ago with over 100$ in each prize pool. With over 30 participants in the Bronze to Diamond 3 category we can definitely say our first try was a big success! Everyone involved had so much fun and our players were able to walk away with a hefty amount of $$ And our membercount has gone up to almost 600 members now! Who would have thought this small idea would grow out to be so amazing! I hope we can welcome many more Bronze to Diamond 3 players in the months to come! And we want them to feel comfortable in making mistakes and asking for help and this becomes a lot more scary when there's a lot of people looking down on them (intentionally or unintentionally) | ||

So we are actually almost 900 members large now!! And we've had a lot of success bringing dozens and dozens of players up to diamond or at least help them get better at the game. Many people have found new friends and practice partners in our server and are having a lot more fun playing the game together. We've had a bunch of tournaments and events with cash prizes that have run very successfully and many more to come! There is a clan that's been attached to the Platinum Heroes brand which has made it's first splashes in the current leagues that are mostly for the lower league players. Recently having a great run in the ATL NA Rookie division and our players are wanting more! We are open to every interested member of our server that would like to participate in Clan wars and leagues. It has been ages since an update came from my end and I thought now would be a good time. Been a while since the last update Now close to 1400 members we've gone through quite a bit of a unexpected growth spurt! Soon another set of tournaments coming up with a great caster (You'll know him ). The clan is participating in more leagues than I can keep track of by myself, with our most recent almost success by reaching the semi-finals for CTL but getting knocked out there. For a first time participation that made me very happy none the less!
