hmm I last played the game sth like 3 days ago with the Co-Op missions and the campaign, I'm not confident enough in playing ladder yet, and also my laptop is weak so it lags too often after I get around 100 units. I'm afraid that it will lag during ladder so I can't macro properly.

Wol : i played a lot as Protoss reaching my highest rank Master <3 but feel terran was the best race imo.

Hots: switched to Terran, i just played recencly the campaing and some 2v2 with friends from time to time but still watching tournaments and news from time to time, since i was playing other games, i lost the intereset and end up just watching streams not playing at all.

LOVT: i played 2 games of beta and since them havent play that much. still trying to decide witch race gonna play tho.

I had a lot of attention span for SC2 during the beta and first year or so, but by the time HotS came out I lost most interest in the game and didn't really play much at all.

Guild Wars (1) Kept my attention both competitively and non-competitively more than Starcraft 2 did. I got tired of GW by the time Nightfall came out (which was its 2nd expansion), but still even played it quite a bit then for a while before stopping entirely.

One of the things that made me lose interest in SC2 were some map maker features that I was hoping for which didn't appear. The engine was surprisingly limited, and some of the stuff that wasn't limited was more tedious than it needed to be.

Another aspect was that the game seemed to grow too macro oriented metagame-wise too quickly compared to the emphasis on strategy and micro which existed for much longer in BW, and which even remained more prominent even after a macro meta developed.

very active in WoL. HotS active for the first few months, after the hype was gone i played maybe once a month... LotV is fun so far its a good thing to learn new build orders and finding out stuff again. Im hyped for the first few major tournaments, and hope to see crazy strategies. We´ll see for how long my lotv hype will continue.

Before getting LotV it must've been about a year and a half.

To be honest it hasn't rekindled my interest in Starcraft at all.
I'm happy enough to play 1-3 matches, but then I get bored and fed up again.

During the 1.5 year abstinence, I actually played and enjoyed Broodwar much more than SC2. Maybe nostalgia dunno.

Guess i'm too much into Dota2 to get back into SC2 anyways now.
