LoTV I have played a few ladder games, spent the weekend playing some Archon with my brother. Laddered myself to first rank in Diamond just to see how long decent macro could take you without any knowledge of builds what so ever. Feeling no motivation for 1vs1 ladder at the moment, probably cause my favourite Terrans hardly streams and there is no Proleague/GSL so I feel totally lost in builds / tactics - so everything just seems so random when I play (and I dont play enough to get enough experience to understand the game myself). Probably I will play a few games during the weekend  | ||

HOTS: I don't know what happened but I barely played. I think it's because I was playing Terran and was a heavy Tank user in all match ups. and HOTs pretty much killed the Tank except for TvT. Which I really liked in HOTS. I switched to Zerg and had alot of fun, I was thinking about playing more often, until I realized that more then half my matches were ZvZzzzzz, and that being on the receiving end of Terran drops sucks. LOTV: Back in full force. I switched to Protoss. Terran is simply no longer my style (I miss Mech), and 5 years of MMM is to much. Zerg is cool, but I have to see how I feel about the Mirror. | ||

Like c'mon, it's barely a change except for build orders, strategy set still remains the same regardless of worker count you start with. It's literally minus a couple minutes from the game, the least interesting minutes. Small mineral patches affect strategies somewhat on the other hand. | ||

HotS: Lost my pashun a few weeks after release, but still watched a few tournaments and kept up with the pro scene at the beginning. Later on completely ignored the game and the proscene. LotV: No pashun at all, didn't buy it, don't plan to buy it. Who the hell are all these kids in booths? Where is everyone? | ||

I check in every now and then to see how the scene is going, if it's regaining popularity like it use to be, and to check in with my favourite streamers... I also like to see if ProTech is still successfully making a living streaming 2v2. I enjoy watching him stream. But yea na, not playing anymore. | ||

Hots: switched to Terran, i just played recencly the campaing and some 2v2 with friends from time to time but still watching tournaments and news from time to time, since i was playing other games, i lost the intereset and end up just watching streams not playing at all. LOVT: i played 2 games of beta and since them havent play that much. still trying to decide witch race gonna play tho. | ||

Guild Wars (1) Kept my attention both competitively and non-competitively more than Starcraft 2 did. I got tired of GW by the time Nightfall came out (which was its 2nd expansion), but still even played it quite a bit then for a while before stopping entirely. One of the things that made me lose interest in SC2 were some map maker features that I was hoping for which didn't appear. The engine was surprisingly limited, and some of the stuff that wasn't limited was more tedious than it needed to be. Another aspect was that the game seemed to grow too macro oriented metagame-wise too quickly compared to the emphasis on strategy and micro which existed for much longer in BW, and which even remained more prominent even after a macro meta developed. | ||

To be honest it hasn't rekindled my interest in Starcraft at all. I'm happy enough to play 1-3 matches, but then I get bored and fed up again. During the 1.5 year abstinence, I actually played and enjoyed Broodwar much more than SC2. Maybe nostalgia dunno. Guess i'm too much into Dota2 to get back into SC2 anyways now. | ||
