SERIOUSLY LICHTER?

Every single one of the Korean players in attendance is beatable, and don't be surprised to see a bracket stage with more than 5 different flags.

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/ASUS_ROG_Summer_2015

7 KR flags 1 EU flag.

Seems like 2nd-3rd tier Koreans still own foreginers damn hard. I am very sad/angry to see it, but not in the least surprised. Nothing has changed since the beginning of the year.

My personal "favorites"' of the 2nd group stage:

Snute, our 3rd hope and
ZVZ specialist with 15 delicious zergs in the tournament
knocked out after being beaten in ZvZ, twice, by B4 - one of the two
sinking ship
sailors and the Korean #7-#8 - with a glorious 1-10 record in ProLeague

Lilbow, WCS vice-champion and our #1 hope knocked-out in a group with 2 zergs, after being 2-0d by TRUE and fantasy. He could not take one map off the koreans in his group, not even true, in his "'favorite"' matchup

Naniwa making the 2nd group stage. Wondering if he probe-rushed at all to get there.
Our #6 getting 2-0d in TvT by KeeN and his monstrous 2-7 in ProLeague

And, to put a cherry on top, Apocalypse, the korean bottom-of-the-chart-not-even-PL-or-GSL, making the Bracket phase by 2-0ing both our #2 and #5

Sorry but the salt is literally just pouring from my eyes....i had not watched competitive SC2 (foreign tourneys) for a long time, for especially this reason....then i read licthe's preview and get all hyped....watch a few games....and in the end.....
same old story.....even low-low end koreans stomp the top foreigners.

SC2 still gets decent viewers when there is something on. Too bad both streamers and tournaments are much fewer and farther between. Not a dead game by any means, but a game that demanding could never get that massive fanbase of LoL and Dota.

The Korean vs Foreigner thing is of course a major issue as well, and natioality-lockes and quotas is the only solution. Their culture and infrastructure for training Starcraft is simply on a different level.

Well, there is a french force, that is growing stronger. I kind of believe, that Lilbow will win a major in the future. And petitdrogo 3:0 against hyun?! Wow. Good work. And marinelord is gettin stronger als well. There is an awesome article (german) on homerj.de about the french community and its healthy structures for new talents. And I have to agree. France is rising. And maybe the community will make it possible by time to compete against the korean one (MAYBE one day ). Anyway, I m thankful that ASUS has still sc2 in its portefolio and I m hoping that sc2 will get even a bit bigger in the future with legacy.
