So I recently moved to Korea (Daegu) and I tried to log in at my local PC bang with my own account. I put in my email and password and hit the button that lit up but it gave me some kind of code error.

Is it possible to just go in to a PC bang and play or do I have to purchase a KR account to play in a PC bang?

In my (admittedly limited) PC Bang experience, I had to use the pre-provided account registered to the computer that I was paying to use rather than my own account but I don't know if they all work that way. For example, in Sweden, I had to use my own account. But, if I remember correctly, most PC Bangs in Korea license bulk accounts from Blizzard that you pay for by the hour.

Edit: Also, there's no such thing as a "Korean Account" anymore. Or, at least there isn't under normal circumstances. Maybe PC Bangs have their own interfaces but normally you just switch regions using the drop down menu in the Battle.net Launcher after you log-in but before you launch the Starcraft client.

When i was in a PC Bang last year in Gangnam area (PC Zone or something was called), I could log into my account with no issues and play on KR server. Maybe ask the owner to translate the error for you, it might not be account related

Just to make sure, is the ID that you entered in the PC bang one that you paid for and has both WOL and HOTS? There shouldn't be a problem if the ID you have is one that you purchased the game with. If you didn't purchase the game with that ID, there also shouldn't be a problem for you playing ladder of campaign because if its and officially registered PC bang, then all content previously behind a paywall which is the campaign and ladder play should be free to use. If the PC bang isn't a officially registered one, then you won't be able to play the paywall features.

Yea, it's the one that has WoL and HOTS on it. I couldn't tell if it was officially registered but I didn't have to download the client or anything, so it seemed legit.

There was a drop down menu for the region but that didn't work either.

I will try again later and give you an update.

Well, Its really difficult to find PC bangs that aren't registered, but what I mean by its not registered is that when you in that PC bang turn on a game like Hero's of the storm or LOL, you should see in game that you are receiving internet cafe perks or something like that; if the PC bang isn't registered, then you won't receive those perks (such as being able to play all hero's in HotS). Check some other games to see if its registered and has those internet cafe perks, and if it does give those then it should be just a personal ID problem or a PC problem.

It's probably because you logged into an unknown location and it asks you to change your password

Hey I'm in Daegu too. It's not a very exciting city unfortunately.

I personally never had any issues logging into my Battle Net account from a PC Bang. It's possible that there are security settings on your account that make it so you can't log in from abroad or something, so you probably need to check account management for that.

I went back and figured it out. I had to hit the settings button and change it to get into the HoTS exe. It was having me sign in on a screen I'd never seen before. Ended up regaming a Korean player.

Draco, you should come play with me next Sunday. The guy wants to play again.

I'm a teacher here Shin toss. Just moved here.

yeah when i was in Korea was having problems was first time since before that was pretty straight forward after about 1 hour or so worked out that it was security issues from logging in Korea after i usually play in Australia just went to accounts on the website and verify it by phone message and then no problems

I also live in Korea, all the PC bangs I've been to in multiple cities I just launch the battle.net app, log with my account and play. Nothing different than doing it at home.

You may have your account locked the 1st time because Blizz will detect a change in your log-in habits, but once that's cleared (check your inbox), it should be a smooth ride.
