a key thing to keep in mind is that you don't -have- to micro. Diehards like you and me like to feel epic and micro our stuff like the pros we idolize because it's cool. For casuals, not microing isn't as bad as the opponent probably isn't microing either.

Nice. But I have the feeling that they won't be as good because of the way the AI works in SC2. Forming arcs around them renders them useless. Seems like Blizzard rather intents them for sieges... You realise forming arcs around lurkers was always the counter right? | ||

Said that, i loved the direction they went for. The new concept for SH, BC and Carrier is amazing. Do some damage and get out before the enemy engages, and in a late game scenario! The designs for Herc, and ravager are good and its great to have the lurker back ^^. Hercs might make TvT more awesome, shooting those hooks on tanks, Ravager have this amazing positional anti-ff shot and lurkers deal splash damage with ranged tech, ZvZ is probably saved too ![]() Not sure about cyclone and disruptor, they look silly. "Mech needs a way to deal with ultralisks" and "Protoss needs splash damage for the opponent to micro against" Would love to see 2 new units for protoss, throwing the disruptor on the trash bin, and the cyclone i just don't get what they are supposed to do for terran. Liked other changes, but its too much stuff to write about ^^. | ||

pcs have come a long way since sc2 got out, hardware-wise it would be easy to slightly increase the visible area of the screen, up the supply limit to 300, and have really epic battles :o | ||

I'm not sure what makes the disrupter cost 300 gas when, in-game, it seemed like a worse version of a cheap as can be widow mine... More than anything, outside of the herc, I find Blizzard's lack of creativity to be kinda pathetic. Maybe these guys are focusing on too many different games to truly make anything good. The best change is having the lurker back. While I don't mind them trying to replicate spells/units from BW, that's something anyone can do. When it comes to truly original ideas, all I can do is look at the units that show the least semblance to something they have copied and think "wow... maybe they shouldn't think for themselves anymore." As long as the swarm host is in the game, in any form, I can't take this game seriously or anyone involved in it. I just think it's a joke, and I feel so ashamed to even be associated with the game in any manner. It's embarrassing. | ||
