WCS AM will continue to include LatAm, Oceania/SEA, CN, and TW/HK/Macau, you can all stop freaking out about it.

Good news for you then, WCS EU will still more or less stay the same, and WCS Korea should get even MORE competitive! Isn't that what you want? The highest level of competition?!

Oh yeah, I forgot why I was mad. I don't even watch WCS AM or EU.

I'm annoyed because Blizzard arbitrarily decided to fuck Koreans over on the grounds that they're just better than foreigners. There is no other reason. That's appalling.

Blizzard is basically saying, and there is absolutely no denying this: "Koreans are too good. We won't allow them to play against foreigners since they're just too good and foreigners are just going to lose."

Which is something I find incredibly unjust and unfair. Since literally the only reason that Koreans are being bullied by Blizzard is because they're good. That's kind of disgusting.

If Koreans and foreigners were on par in terms of skill, this visa limitation simply would not exist. That's why I'm pissed.

Why do they want that commitment?

Because Koreans are better.

So Blizzard is bullying Koreans because they are simply better at the game.

Let's approach this from another angle.

Snute, Naniwa, Scarlett, Jinro, Huk, Idra. Some of the most successful foreigners of all time. What do they all have in common? They all spent time in Korean team houses. That was how they were able to unlock their potential. They were good on their ow , and lucky enough to be in a position where they could drop everything and move to the other side of the globe. Not everyone has that luxury, and it is wrong to say that a player has to be able to uproot their entire lives just for the possibility (not guarantee - possibility) of success. Yes, the Koreans are now going to have to deal with what the foreigners dealt with since the dawn of the game. But the temporary destabilization of the Korean scene pales in comparison to the chance for foreigners to play full-time in their own country without having to be the unbelievable anomaly of Stephano.
The world is better when every background has a chance.

Cmon let's be real for a moment. If you want to play in GSL you have to be there too, why should it be different for "gsl na and eu" ?

Well you say Blizzard is bullying Koreans but these changes won't affect MC and co. at all.
So are they not Koreans?

You seem to be forgetting that lots of those foreigners had the chance to do that thanks to co-operation with Gom who even gave many of them a house to practice at, none of that is being offered for Koreans who would want to participate in AM or EU.

It is but the sentiment seems from at least some NA pro's is that they'd rather get more money than be able to compete with the best.

Which is only normal I think?
You can say the same about the koreans in EU, NA .
Anyway region lock is just bad, viewership will drop, I know I won't watch anymore.

I actually am not happy about this, Koreans were the only reason EU and NA were entertaining, who wants to see a ro8 with Polt viOLet and Jaedong wrecking HuK Scarlett MajOr Jim and puck

I would agree with you but you have people like State who could earn easy money by staying in NA now but would rather stay and train in Korea.
