edit: nvm sorry misunderstood your post.

MVP should completely merge with IM. It's better to have a team that stands a chance over 2 mediocre teams. Right now MVP is looking more like a competitor, but IM is on the verge of death.
This is like Dragon Ball Z when Piccolo merges with that guy.

I would assume it does, so he's off to university then? (going of liquipedia drg page for what you are talking about)

Also team shuffles happen all the time in Dota after a big event I don't think SC2 should be so afraid of it. yet the T1, KT, CJ, Samsung doesnt do it, I dont remember any team shuffle in GSTL time either. This is not the NBA, team needs effort, patience and consistency to achieve success. And it's not like MVP is going the Heat way either, they are adding washed out veteran code A dropouts + a joke coach. gg A joke coach who won 2 GSTLs back to back Thats like what, 2 centuries ago? not like FXO got a weak lineup back then either. Pretty sure someone above has pointed out some pattern of choya these days. Let be honest, not many people in this thread expect the "new" MVP to finish higher than bottom 1 next season

Leenock was previously partnered with Prime and Choya was on Prime. Coupled with the fact that Prime's dispute with TteSports has recently come into light Prime doesn't seem to be in the best shape, and they've always kind of been on the verge of collapsing.
I don't think its necessarily bad that there are team shuffles. I just think its unfortunate that basically 8-10 players or so are now without jobs. Korea oversaturated with talent but not enough space in the scene.

How much would Leenock even play for MVP? He played what? 1 game in a whole round for Prime? He's always in Taiwan with his actual team.

T1 and KT cant yet, they are still playing in the finals. CJ just picked up Byul and Samsung just picked up Dear. The top teams don't need to shuffle their rosters, they are already on top, why would they change anything major?

Drop DRG, and then bring in a whole bunch of other players? Why? DRG is the face of MVP.

So glad to see korean teams investing in porleague.
gogo MVP!

Okay, my tin foil hat is now on. NEW THEORY. KeSPA wasn't going to allow MVP in the next season of pro league, due to poor performance. They inform MVP, MVP responds by becoming a new team which features more overall fan favorites. MVP is allowed to remain in pro league.
That sounds pretty stupid to me. But, *takes tin foil hat off* - we should remember that these are KeSPA teams, now. KeSPA is very involved in these kinds of affairs. I feel like the particularly silent way in which this is being conducted, regarding all the details that are NOT being shared, further implicates the role of KeSPA in this.. which I feel I have failed to properly accredit/account for, so far. Did my second to least favorite organization in the world (westboro baptists #1) just shit all over my favorite team in the world?

@mongmong I think all the former mvp players are gone but can't be 100% sure.. The article says that the former MVP players were tired of playing in proleague, but did not leave on bad terms or anything. This is another statement who provided this post to us.
