Yeah, that's the largest part of why that sounds stupid :D But I have a growing feeling that KeSPA is very involved in this. Not only are these things within the realm of their job criteria, I'm also noting the smooth transition of Byul into his new team. KeSPA sees to these kinds of things with individual players. They very plausibly, if not likely, saw to the finding of new homes for these players who will now be playing for MVP, too. Only, I don't think things would just so happen that, as MVP released their entire squad, with no plans for what to do next... KeSPA finds a full new team to supply them with. That's a little bit too much coincidence for me to overlook. And while I think it's actually rather obvious, normal, that KeSPA would be involved.. the extent to which they are, and exactly what is taking place.. remains a kept secret. I know that total transparency isn't exactly the golden standard for teams or other organizations, in our community or in others - but the fact that the dismissal of team MVP's roster, even, has been kept silent.. this seems like less transparency than we might typically expect. And I think about KeSPA, the kinds of people its members are, the way the organization rolls.. how this would be a fitting behavior for them. Ahh, soo juicy. If I could just penetrate the fog in my crystal globe. Huuuuunnnnnnnghhhhhhh. *Stares wildly into it, resolute*

You can all expect MVP to fare just as bad (if not worse) than this PL season. This is only to delay the inevitable team disbandment.

It's plausible, although, appreciating that logic, I'm still hesitant to completely discount a strong set of players. And some of them have been on IM together for a while. Something interesting to note, though. It's the ex ESF teams that are struggling in performance and dying as teams. And this rebuilt team is just a regathering of ex ESF players - including even the players they are partnering with for PL. Original KeSPA teams have now completely taken over the Korean scene. Out of the 32 players for next seasons Code S, only three are ex ESF. The rest are original KeSPA players.

It could either involve a lot of convincing TotalBiscuit or other foreign teams joining together, sure, but it's still a possibility. You gotta believe

With this announcement, Prime is dead. IM only have 1 player in Lucky for their SC2 squat. Unless those two teams decide to rebuild their squat, then PL is down to 6 teams.

With what lineup? Life + Hack won't cut it for PL material. Listen, as much as having more teams is good. We got to be realistic here. There is little chance that ST + MVP can perform up to par with CJ, Khan, T1, Rolster, and Green Wings. What the former ESF teams should do is to come together, formulate one team with the best leftover players in order to even have a chance at reaching the playoff. That will improve the level of the games and competition. Instead we get sacrificial lambs

I don't know that it's really the end of the world if they 'can't compete'. But KeSPA may disagree.

Life/Curious/Hack isn't the worst group in the world so if they get another they should be alright. Also just because there are weaker teams doesn't mean they should form some super team just to have a shot at winning. You don't see Tampa Bay, Miami, and Jacksonville forming team Florida in the NFL just so they can make the playoffs.

Plus Axiom's Olimo was talking about IM's future (someone stated in the earlier pages I think), it looks good according to her.

Yeah because teams that were once bad never work their way up to being good over time. That never happens.
