The widow mines were already shown to be potentially destructive to the terran with the wider splash. If they can be buffed in such a way that won't actually kill terran players then it would be a good buff, since they're a unit that terrans like to use vs Z in particular in the lategame. Maybe buff widow mines vs massive units (ultras, archons, colossus)? This way terrans will go for observer snipes and then protoss will be positionally challenged vs terran and it makes it harder for him to engage even when there are no ghosts? Another nice option to buff terran in my opinion is buffing the bunker upgrade from the engi-bay. Currently zealot runbys in the lategame cause great damage to terrans even vs planetaries/bunkers. With a nice buff to that upgrade terrans will be able to invest in stronger static defenses in orbital bases or around their production where they can't fit planetaries and that will help them considerably in the lategame particularly vs toss. | ||

2) I'm baffled by the, if you excuse my phrasing: incompetence behind these suggestions. The balance team is given the facts of the current situation and many have given the opinion on this. None of those that I ´have read has has complained that the medivac is the weak link among the Terran units. Medivac harass is at the moment basically the ONLY really effective way for terran to play, what this say about the game is that they lack versatile options like for example all ins or a reliable late game. What terran needs is more options. You say that opponents predict the drops now, yeah what a surprise when its the only thing terran can do effectively. How do you think buffing the medivac is going to effect the matchups? Maybe the opponents would expect drops EVEN MORE. That wouldn't make the drops more effective but probably even more countered, maybe P would just play even more defensive and moving out with their army even less..... Sounds like a great improvement in entertainment.... Second problem, why is medivac drops the most reliable way to play as terran, because they can't fight fairly on the ground army vs army without scvs and nowadays barely with that even. Protoss with colo especially is too cost efficent and hard to defeat with a standard terran army that are even in supply (to make matters worse P often even has upgrade lead). Against Z T can't fight safely on creep making it very hard to deny Zs economy getting out of hand. What DK is saying is that Terran is an inferior race so they need to backdoor and harass and thats their best/only choice so lets make that one choice even stronger because for some reason its getting predicted nowadays..... The weakness of T is NOT solved by making it easier for terran to backdoor. Regarding WM I won't say much, it could be decent I however feel WM is boring to watch and boring to play against and it doesn't really do much in the right direction. What T needs is more and better options like the hellbat buff, that was a good move in the right direction. | ||

They can't harass because one drop to a Protoss base and endless photon overcharges annihilates the medivacs. They can't split their units because one or two Time Warps and a storm means microing your units is next to worthless. David Kim and his team needs to take a close look at who exactly is winning this tournaments and clearing out top korean Terrans from the tournaments and I'll tell you what; very rarely is it Zerg. | ||

I hate to use BW as an example, but it's just such a fucking good one... There were periods where one race would dominate the fuck out of one another... like you'd get entire tournaments where there'd be like 2 Protosses, or all of the top Terrans would have like 80-95% win rate vs Z, or Protoss literally couldn't beat Zerg. Sometimes these periods lasted for like a year and a half, just like SC2. As absolutely unlikely and untrue it seems eventually a player like Savior or Bisu or whoever WILL figure it out and bring balance to the force hehehhhhehehe. Sc2 doesn't really have any great examples... Stephano gave Zerg a good boost with the fast roach max and Protosses were definitely bringing PvZ closer at the end of WoL by combining really aggressive WP harass with solid macro and quicker expansions. I'll put this in a spoiler since I'm using a different game as an example. + Show Spoiler + Another good example is SSBM; I'd say it's a bit comparable to BW. The character tier list in that game is actually a pretty good representation of how capable each character is overall, and over the years as people have discovered and improved tech skill and general matchup knowledge characters have bounced up and down the list. People used to think Shiek and Marth were more or less the best, but people figured the game out and now they're a bit further down. Shiek vs. Marth used to be a really shitty matchup, but more and more we see Marth players bringing it closer to even. Then there's fucking Armada. He levelled Peach up SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH. Every tournament he shows new technology and combos. | ||

Terran is not only MMMM there is : Tank Ghost BC Thors Theses are the one we should push further. Seriously the ghost snipe at 30+ dmg could be insane to snipe banelings rolling over marines. I don't know if it's humanly possible to both split marines and snip baneling with ghost but If we could at least try to pull that shit that would be awesome!!! Also this will help terrans using ghost to snipe uncatchable mutalisk. Oh Yeah you come to my base to harass?? pew pew pew get off my lawn ! | ||
