Q: Introduce yourselves to everyone
Slam: Hi everyone I am yeoFW.Slam. This is my third time in mainland, previous two times were at Shanghai. This is my first time at

Ian: Hi everyone, I am yeoFW.Ian, first time at mainland for the team competition. It's been an awesome experience, hopefully we will be the champions in the next team event.
HAS: I'm Has, second time to Beijing, and my second time at a professional team competition. [On this trip] I have experienced the team spirit of this team event.
Leenock: (In Chinese) Hi everyone, I am Lee. Very happy to meet you. How is your life today? (Laugh)
Q: [From my] impression, FlashWolves is internationally renown, used to be called "Ironmen"
JOJO(Coach): There is an U.S. comic titled "Ironman", and we hope to have a name that uniquely belong to us, so we changed the name to FlashWolves. To become a well known team has always been our aim, so we have been proactively looking for excellent players and participating in international events. Hope everyone can see us at an international level.
Q: Why change name to "FlashWolves"?
JOJO: This is the result of polling everyone's opinion. When brainstorming for the new team name, a team member came up with "FlashWolves", which the owner [of the team] thought was awesome, so [we] set on that.
Q: After seeing the pre-game interviews and publicity poster for this ECL event, [I think] your team has a very vigorous image
JOJO: Our aim is to be professional, so we pay a lot of attention to our player's overall image. Hope both international and native Taiwanese audiences can sense our effort.
Q: How would you compare your team to others in Taiwan [T/N: alternate translation: what type of team do you think you are?]
JOJO: We are more ambitious. The amount of passion we dedicate to Taiwan ESports is one among the top.
Q: FlashWolves has recently recruited Leenock and San. Why did you choose to recruit non-native players?
JOJO:We hoped to have Korean players living and playing with us, while improving together. This will allow us to fast-track our team into the international scene.
Q: How did Leenock help after joining the team?
JOJO: He is very easy to get along with, very warm-hearted. He would always teach his teammates after each match, with no reservations. He is very selfless, and a very good teammate.
Q: Has has made a name for himself in the international scene, any special practice or skill improvement?
Has: My usual practice is laddering. Because I am still in school, so I usually practice until 5PM then go to class.
Q: How many games a day?
Has: 20. 40 if no class.
Q: Are the two Zerg players Slam and Ian pressured after Leenock joins? (laugh)
Ian: No pressure. More communication between players of the same race fosters mutual growth.
Slam: No pressure here either. Korean players are always very serious at practising. He always subtly influences me to strive harder so that I don't lose to them.

Q: Introduce us the Taiwanese ESports environment. I've always heard that the atmosphere isn't very good, but doesn't seem like it. For example, you have local tournaments like the TESL.
JOJO: Taiwanese ESports atmosphere isn't bad; it has a stable stage. The only imperfection is the lack of tournaments. The only regular tournament is TESL, and the number of player entries is limited. Not a lot of chance to enjoy competition. Also, the disparity of skill level between players is too high, and Taiwanese players improve slowly. It's rather that the skill gap is too high than the overall atmosphere.
Q: Compare to the Esports scene at Mainland China, what do you think are the strengthes and weaknesses of each.
JOJO: I think the strength of the Mainland scene is the abundance of tournaments. Also, because of the larger population, it feels more people are following the scene. This is not visible in Taiwan. But I feel the amount of PR packaging and care from the Taiwanese enterprise and team to our players is a lot more comparatively.
Q: You have regrettably only achieved second in this ECL, are you surprised by the result?
JOJO: Found out about the tournament format change at the last minute. I think we would have won if it is the previous format. But we have changed our goal after the format change, so no surprises as long as we're top two.
Q: You lost to team iG
JOJO: I think there is still a gap between us and iG. We are more reliant on the performance of our Korean players, but iG fields purely Chinese players. But we should still be 50-50 with team ZoO (laugh).

Hotpot is the food of choice after each match.
Q: How do you feel about this trip to mainland?
Slam: Feels pretty good. Met a lot of old friends. The only regrettable thing was the delaying of some of the matches really had a toll on player stamina. Also, saw a mom letting her kid to go potty on the side of the road, very surprising!
Ian: We all know each other. Very glad to be together in one place to mutually learn from each other. We've all chatted online, so it's very cool to play in the offline event. Too bad we don't meet face-to-face very often. I hope ZoO can find a sponsor soon*, let's play team tourney together. Also hope mainland can host a regular team tournament, let's play together!
Has: Not bad. I've been to Beijing this past January. I really like the HaiDiLao hotpot. Very happy for this opportunity to eat more of it. [T/N: HaiDiLao literally means to fetch from the bottom of the ocean, which is what hotpot is about]
JOJO: We've spent 600!(Laugh) [T/N: 600 Yuan roughly 100$.]
Leenock: (In Chinese) Very awesome, very hot[temperature]. (In Korean) First time participating in a team tournament with 2v2's, very interesting. But I didn't play in the 2v2, I really want to play it! (laugh)
Q: Last comments?
JOJO: Very thankful for ECL, giving us the opportunity to come to mainland, and thanks everyone for supporting us. Regardless of our result, we will try our best to come to all of the mainland tournaments. Beijing hotpot and lamb taste so good.

After the interview, s.163.com present yoeFlashWolves with a T-shirt displaying "We can't play Starcraft for life, but we can be friends for life" as a token of remembrance.
*TooDming has also mentioned ZoO sponsorship woes in his interview. Speaking of which, is it too late now to translate TooDming/XiGua interviews from WCS AM RO32?
