LATEST VOD: Episode 3 - Life vs Taeja Blizzcon semis!
PiG's Point-of-View is a replay analysis show where I look at a different Zerg matchup each episode. The show aims to analyse some of the best players games in a deeper and more conceptual and instructional manner than a generic cast. This is followed by a section where I analyse a range of Bronze-GM amateur replays with an aim to expand our understanding into advice that is easily applicable for viewers.
This weeks episode focuses yet again on Life's incredible ZvT, casting our eyes back to his epic series at Blizzcon vsTaeja..
VOD list Note: Episodes can go for over 4 hours, and so VODs are broken into each segment for easy viewing.

Haha just watch the first game if you're stuck for time, it's the best part

I really like this. Would it be possible for you to have higher than 480P quality?

Sick, more high-level players giving breakdowns of what the likes of Life are doing in games is always welcome

Seems like the main point of lair first is to get enough mutas out in time for the 11 minute push to kill the medivacs.

It was actually recorded in 612p - and quite a good bitrate, until halfway through the show my router shat itself. Unfortunately that's about the best I can do without paying a huge fee to install good internet in a rental I don't own :s. Australian woes . I'll do a couple shows in Europe whilst I'm at the MYI house if I have time and should be very nice quality with Swiss internet

Awesome man, you are one of my favorite players! Didn't have time to watch all of your Life V Taeja analysis, but i watched about 40 minutes of it and it helped a ton!

Pig is amazing. When I switched to Zerg I watched a few of his coaching sessions and learned basically everything I know. He's a gold mine of information: so underrated. I'd watch him in 240p all day.

What's WinterStarcraft? Is that another show that teaches SC2?

Just updated the OP with the latest episode revolving around how Impact's ZvZ overcame Jaedongs at DH Bucharest. Also a look at Snute vs Jaedong and followed as usual by viewer replays from gold-masters.
Some key themes I discuss this week are:
- The importance of overlord placement in ZvZ
- The need for perfect control to defend a 9 pool with hatch-gas-pool
- How aggression, rather than greed, is often the best way to extend an advantage in ZvZ --> Forces mistakes, gains scouting, denies opponents scouting, limits zerg production of workers or ability to know when it's safe to drone.
- How Impact "sells" the build to make his jaunty all-in work in the final game
- The importance of denying scouting as a gasless player
Hope this helps some of you understand and enjoy the matchup some more
