though you could smell byul's demise. his army was mobile and stuff but it couldn't win a straight up fight. should of droned and baneling'd.

NO ? it was best they ever did it was only muta vs muta before did you really forget that ? without that patch, the mutas would have instawin the game, and so revival would have gone mutas too so all we had was muta vs muta ... I don't mind having Muta vs Muta, but I agree that the Spore change (however weird it'll always feel) was a good one (don't remember what else was changed in the patch, so I won't say the patch was good ).It wasn't an issue of the Spores being too strong, it was the fact that Byul NEVER respected them. Hell, he never respected a lot of the AA damage that Revival had. Byul made a lot of bad decisions that game which cost him probably over 40 Mutas before the great flock suicide (this is probably a lower estimate, he only made Mutas and he lost like 1-3 each time he engaged a Spore, which was VERY often). Honestly, if Byul made Roaches, or Infestors, or anything but Lings, he could've won. What the fuck are Lings and Mutas gonna do vs Roach/Hydra/Infestor? If Byul didn't throw Mutas away at every chance, imagine what kind of army he could've made. Honestly, he could've just sat with Roaches and Mutas over Spine Crawlers and just let Revival lose his army trying to break it. There were so many Spine Crawlers. The game was nothing but 1 bad decision after another.

Pretty sure Drake's definition of epic differs from yours. I assume that Drake, like me, defines a game as epic if it is a back-and-forth game between two evenly matched players that display great skill, strategies, and decision making. The match between ByuL and Revival was full of mistakes. The skill, strategies, and decision making was all meh.

Thanks for showcasing it. Probably deserves an honorable mention in the games to remember of 2014

Byul was just afraid to switch away from the cheapest unit out there if you have a low drone count but enough extractors. He probably thought he is dead if he stops containing Revival and I think he was right on that after the baneling attack failed because he didn't notice the hydra burrow. But only Byul knows what went through his mind, especially since he had a different vision in the game then observers. Wonder why he got +1 flyer armor though, he probably planned to get enough Mutas and fly over the Hydras and massacre them.
