and with PL the aim is not for the most balanced team, it's for the best team full stop. there are many people who won rounds in the first SC2PL simply by KT-allinning, which is hardly balanced and a huge gamble. Last round, a one pointer KT player could be traded for a better player at the end. In fact, if you choose a one pointer on a team that wins almost all their matches, you are very likely to be able to trade him for a better player, who actually plays, during the last week.
With the current system, even if any one of your players decides to slump, you can still pull up the team with the rest. With the proposed new captain system, one of your players definitely has to do very well, if not you're dead. The proposed new captain system makes the game more capricious and good strategies will become more susceptible to random fluctuations or variance in player performance. I.e. it increases the game's luck-factor to skill-factor ratio.
Furthermore, there are currently many viable strategies players have, such as picking a balanced team of all 4-6 pointers, or picking 2 heavy hitters worth 7-8 points while having 3 pointers for the rest, and all these strategies are possible to win with. But with the proposed new captain system, getting a heavy hitter for your captain is the only logical way to go. This reduces the total amount of viable strategic options and hence reduces the depth as well as fun of the game.
Also, in that round where KT-allinning was the best strat, the best players were also KT players, so even with the proposed new captain system, KT-allinning would still have won. It doesn't make a difference.

A question about trades. Once you hit the "Trade" button - is that final? Or can you cancel that trade and continue making changes until the matches actually begin?

Anyone has good suggestion on who to trade for bbyong and sora?

Keep Bbyong, trade Sora --> Reality, Effort, or Sacsri. Just my opinion, I had the same problem as you.

Classic -> TY
herO[jOin] -> FanTaSy
DRG -> Cure
Ditching my toss lineup with only Zest left to anchor it. I was torn between MKP and FanTaSy but went with FanTaSy because he is better and on a better team and facing weak teams this week. Cure for DRG because he plays 0 games and DRG plays 2.
EDIT: Actually, just noticed I can do DRG -> Curious so I'm doing that instead.
EDIT2: Or maybe I should do DRG -> Hydra... Not sure, what do you think?
EDIT3: Think I'll go with Curious after all. Since his team plays 2 matches this week and Hydra's plays 1, his adjusted trade value should decay more, right?

Dream -> GuMiho
Got screwed giving Dream yet another chance. I won't make that mistake again. Not many good trades for him except Gumiho, who might not even play. I think he can beat Flash if he does though, and down the line he could end up being one of CJ's mainstays.

I can't decide if I should trade Classic for TY. They are both top quality players, but TY is 100% in all games, meanwhile SKT doesn't always play Classic. Tough choice.

Didn't notice that one

Yeah I'm thinking about trading Bbyong for Gumiho, or DRG for Fantasy.

Mvp for Dream Anti Team
Zest for Soulkey
DongRaeGu for Hurricane
Looking to dodge some points with IM looking good this week hurts my heart that it has to be Dream ;;
Going balls out with trading away Zest, solid player but Soulkey could bring double the points! DRG looking to have a really hard time this week could have gone with Fantasy but his matchups..holy cow. Hurricane looked ok last week and have a good chance at taking some points this one too.
*note to self always trust your gut and pick your 1point as captain..stuck with herO as captain now.

First time I ever doubted herO and I get punished for it :D

Yeah DRG and True paid off, keeping bbyong too.
|
ehhh even though herO finally paid for himself today, sOs had to win too...
|
Well today was good for me. Flash won, CJ Entus won, HerO won, so basically wonwonwon :D
Edit: when will the points be updated ? (sorry for asking this is my first FPL)
