How it's possible? It sounds like "My StarCraft 2 formatted my hard drive" ------------------------------ I found it, for some reasons it change my color settings from 32 bits to 16 bits. I had to change it back but took me a while to figure it...

you need to delete 2 folders (Cache,shaders30988) C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II\Maps C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II\Versions after that turn on sc2 and load map and check if it helps you. If not you need to do it again and again until it work but sometimes your background can be black, pink or black+pink dont worry. It helps me after 5 delete so be patient here my screen http://scr.hu/1uq9/qljec

Also, if you're ever not comfortable or sure about deleting a folder used by a program, just change the name (I append "-OLD" to mine), that way you can restore it if you'd like.

I guess I am lucky as I don't have any problems with anything. Everything looks freaking amazing and is sooo much easier to play. lightning=0 is awesome as the shiny effect is terrible. Especially when playing against/as a zerg.

What about bugs with login/menu screens - no, the best way just start quicker your game or use Planets backgrounds, because they are less corrupted by no-lighting mode, than Kerrigan.

Hybrid settings already use rings around units from medium effects.

The odd thing is I can run the game maxed @ 1440 with no lag what so ever, so something about these hybrid settings is not working well with my system. i7 3930k, 16gb 2400 ram, ssd, 2 4GB 680's..... didnt sound like the bugs at the bottom of the first post exactly. Seems like Hybrid settings require refreshed cache, because they use different lighting. It's only my assumption, so try the best way - do all the steps from the end of 1st post. They already helped for some players

What would be the best method for collecting performance data? for a start the pre loader seems to be very consistent after the first run. but dont think it pushes the cpu too hard because of the low unit count would love to see a benchmark map being made were there will be a ton of units on the screen like archons and such, even mixing air and ground units because of the overlapping shadows, sadly i have no idea on how to make maps :/

That shit is demanding for sure. EDIT: Check out Hybrid Graphics in motion! There's also a reddit thread that may start filling up with questions.
