The baneling is not a well-designed unit for any other match up than zvz, and even there it could be a better designed unit. We are working on a lot of potential re-designe and we may have found one that could get implemented soon, but for now we'll remove the unit since we feel it does not fit in Starbow. We are quite certain that a modified baneling will be added to the zerg arsenal at some point not too far away. If not, then zerg will get another new unit in the future.
So why exactly do you think the unit is not well designed? Cause it has kinda the same role as the lurker? Or the more a move type thing?
Edited the patch notes. New inject is 15 energy, not 25. Same as before in energy cost. Sorry for the typo. Also, duration is 24 sec and not 15, that has also been edited.
We have found a lot of bugs. Kabel is working on fixing them, hopefully a new version of this patch should be up sometime later tonight.
well in hots combined mech upgrades were to promote more mech vs protoss but in SB mech vs protoss is a dominating meta. Maybe this should be reverted and some buff to promote bio vs protoss could be introduced? Personally I find it boring in both Sc2 and SB to watch same games all the time.

No it was added to make Starport-based mech better rather than just groundheavy mech.
I just feels to be that every patch is making it more and more like BW. It seems like the gameplay wanted is what it was in BW and the only thing remaining of sc2 soon will be the building sizes. Bio is made almost unviable with the removal of the marauder a few patches back due to mech having the "prefered" playstyle with lurkers being super efficient having a greater priorty. That while trying to shoehorn the ghost into being an anti-armor unit. Banelings going away due to either being underplayed or taking the role of the holy lurker. Next in line will be the roach who doesnt fit the gameplay of broodwar....ehm I mean starbow and the stalker has been turned into a glorified reaper.
For me starbow was a lot like sc2 but without a lot of the obvious retarded shit that exist in sc2 like the colossus, the mothership core, oracles, swarmhosts etc, however lately it has become too different of a game and I wish starbow would have taken another turn in the development.
But its just my 2 scrub cents which I suppose are worth just that...

I can definitely see that is your impression when you look at the recent patches, but I can promise you that it is not our intention to make it as similar to BW as possible. But issues constantly arise with the SC2 stuff we've tried to add.
We are currently reworking both the roach and the baneling (yes, it will come back again, if not then a completely new zerg unit might take its place) to fit the Starbow environment more and they will not be BW units as far as I can tell now.
This is of course still in development so I can't make too many promises, but we are not just changing stuff because it was like that in BW.

Most people still go bio in TvZ.. Lurkers were buffed because they were UP. Banelings were removed cus they didn't fit into a game with no Medivacs and created boring games. In TvP Maurauder removal just shifted the problem from bio sucking vs a Zealot/HT's to sucking vs HT's/Reavers. Regardless, it's still totally sucky.
TvT bio play was hurt the most, but without Medivac it's so extremely boring anyway, that it doesn't really matter. Mech vs mech in tvt on the other hand is extremely fast-paced and to some extent feels more like bio play in Sc2.

Your base values everywhere comes from BW (while a lot of them have changed over time) and maybe the people making BW were actually competent compared to the sc2 guys and tried a lot of stuff that didnt fit the game. And you will just come up with the same conclusion in the end (which will be extremly similar to BW)
You've tried to fill a lot of holes that existed in BW like TvP bio, harass options in general, and there existing some periods of time in each matchup where one race can't really do much. But most of these you have gone back on and mimiced BW more.
I will still play the game since there isnt really an rts alternative and hope that the upcoming patches will improve the game!
