Change irradiate back. And also it is SUPPOSED to kill a lurker/muta/defiler like in brood war. Don't go the David Kim route and change shiot arbitrarily please. | ||

Patching things just to encourage "varied and dynamic gameplay" has not worked out for him, so why would it work for SB?? A good rule of thumb should be to do everything the complete opposite than him unless there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary.. | ||

In any case, if irradiate can't kill at least mutalisks all the identity of the spell is lost. Mutalisks can directly engage science vessels anyway. If you're too worried about the strength of irradiate then nerf the cast range, or give consume for defilers a +25 health effect. Also, I should echo the concerns that this patch justification is a little bit suspect. Basically, as a designer you have to design, not dictate the meta. It's okay if you truly think that the irradiate change is an improvement of the design (or alternatively, if you just want to experiment a bit with irradiate, which is a tricky ability to get right due to smartcasting), but otherwise it's dangerous and you shouldn't change anything just because you can and like to change things up. | ||
