you mean like Mekia finding a team, or Sora getting som exposure by ramping through a qualifier that is important to Koreans taking out some stars or San finding a Team ?
The kespa team changes were announced, so the retirements and player cuts don't count as bad news anymore.

Most "bad" news are from Korea though, and most of them could've been expected due to the forced shift from bw to sc2. Outside of Korea, I think sc2 is still as strong as ever. In fact, I have never seen as many up and comers in the competitive scene as right now with the WCS (they were probably there all the time, just not enough spotlight for them).

Coaches or players. Aside from oov, there's a one way flux of players atm. The flux is going outward. Ded gaem.

Dude, that's plenty to be sad about for sure, but on the other hand, SC2 pro scene is downsizing to what it can sustain...
I mean, I'm an SC2 fan, and I still admit SC2 was less a thing than BW. Then, you can't feel bad (at least now, future will tell) that the scene is downsizing after the whole KeSPA scene switched...
There's still plenty of players, new ones with brilliant future step in (hello Sora ! ). It's just a shift toward a size that fits more the scene !
OT: Farewell Clide, I'll miss you

Fire David Kim. The only way to prevent sc2 from dying.

Just like Coach Park was going to turn around EG right? Come on now. The things people believe.

The downsizing of the KeSPA teams has very little to do with David Kim. Let's stop looking for scapegoats.

Kespa's switch from BW to SC2 almost doubled the Korean playerbase, but brought very little new money into the scene. Prior to Kespa joining SC2 the Korean SC2 scene was already pretty saturated, so it should be no surprise that a lot of players have to go. Furthermore we have to deal with Koreans and their pride.
This was to be expected and we'll probably see more Kespa retirements in a short time. If you want good news then look at the foreign SC2 scene.

And some will retire to go on and do other things with their lives, even though they loved the job.
It's not sensible to think that there wouldn't be a lot of retires.
