The Widow Mine change should have added a gradient to the splash, so that instead of 1-shotting 20 lings in one go, it would deal less damage to targets further away from the blast radius, just like the Siege Tank. Cutting the radius nearly in half is just going to turn it into something you use for early-game defense and proxy mine/medivac tvp builds, then cut entirely in favor of tanks or whatever...which I guess isn't such a bad thing :|
Whoever keeps telling David and friends that the upgrade merger is a good idea should be taken out back and shot. Figuratively.
As for the DT change, they should just merge the Dark Shrine with the Templar Archives. Right now, it's just this Cheese Tower that you construct to show your lack of shame and dignity, and dead-ends into defeat if your dt's don't kill 15 drones or whatnot. They've already made detection free and easy for everyone, so I don't see why this would be such a terrible idea >_>

I don't think it's at all fair right now to be judging the numbers Blizzard is putting forward. There are two whole months of testing available and numbers are easier to tweak. The concepts of a lot of these changes are really good. All of them except the two Protoss ones which sucks to say as a P player, but these changes don't accomplish their original goals. Make the speed an upgrade at the shrine that requires a Templar archives or something that relegates it to lategame. This chane just takes the risk of rushing DTs away, you can save the DTs and make an archon easily now.
The oracle doesn't need a cost reduction to make it even more potent in the early game while still being completely nullified by any amount of static defense. Lower the damage and increase the range to make it a more microable less coinflippy unit and it has potential for some really cool usage. Right now it's just a proxy cheese that has no later use.

I hate to see protoss buffed, but I'd love to see more strategies or unit compositions so it's fine with me

None of these changes would affect protoss "3 base all ins" (whatever those are...)

Man based on the polls it seems like there arent very many protosses on the forums. Honestly these all seem like pretty good changes and I am excited to see how they go.

-No fixes to TVP lategame. -Useless buffs to Mech that fail to deal with the mech's real problems. -Ridiculous nerf to widow mine and TVZ. -Absurd unneeded buffs to Protoss and Zerg.

That roach buff would definitely be a plus with dealing with forcefields against those immortal all ins. I used to do it all the time before immortal range was buffed.

Buff their damage and people will actually consider using them over mines - and they may be used in more than ONE (barely) match up.
