At least have like a 64 player tournament so unknowns actually have hope of qualifying and getting exposure, throwing 50k at 8 players who already make a decent living out of this won't help anyone except for redbull... People that post things like this would complain if StarCraft 2 hit the same level in NA as American football (gridiron) on the basis that all the new fans are 'bad for the scene' because they're vocal, positive, and don't know as much about the game as <insert-name-of-individual-posting>. For once, just for damned once, can we get some positive feedback on something organizers are doing and doing well? I doubt that the event organizers and celebrities / personalities involved will read this because they should know, by now, to avoid their own threads due to the enormous negative kickback... that being said, I'm going to throw myself out there for those people that MIGHT be reading. Red Bull, you are absolutely amazing for having and sponsoring these tournaments. Whether they're 8-man, 16-man, invitational, 128-open, I don't care. The tournaments themselves are well-run, the prize money is good, the players are fun to watch, there is more personality than other tournament formats typically have, and I feel that the Training Grounds bring something unique to NA. Some people say it's not enough, I say it's more than enough but I wish for more. I implore you to ignore people that want to cram down your collective throat their desire for more and instead open your ears to the people that are openly, genuinely thankful to the effort you've made to grow the scene and represent the game that I and many other people love. On a note that makes more of a (financial) difference, before your Training Grounds I have NEVER tried Red Bull. Ever. Monster all the way all day erry day, as the saying goes. Now, do I mysteriously like Red Bull more than Monster? Just between ourselves and the Internet, no. As far as a drink goes, I prefer Monster. But I have and will continue to go OUT OF MY WAY to buy Red Bull BECAUSE of your direct support for eSports. As far as dollars go, I drink about 1-2 cans of energy drinks a week. Multiply that by the beginning of 2013 (rough math estimate starting from JAN13) and you have ($2.50 x 2 x (8mo = 32wks + 2.5 remainder x 8 (20, circa 3wks) = 35 wks) $5 x 35 = $175. I don't know how much of this can be replicated with other people. Some drink more and some drink less, others not at all. But you are getting $125 - $175 more this year than you did last year because of me. And you are getting that money from me, a person that does not even prefer your product, because of Red Bull Training Grounds. Day[9], your endless cheerfulness and just everything about how you present yourself and our cause is amazing. I'm not going to say 'personality' because that has a stigma attached to it these days implying falseness or playing a role. I don't believe that what you are can be faked, acted, or staged. I feel your sheer dedication and work ethic (the part most people don't seem to realize, I'm afraid) every single Daily, every event you cast, every show you're on, and every interview you give. It's really inspiring. But what strikes me as best about you Day[9] is that you are what you expect others to be. Take State of the Game #100. You talked about negativity, and how (Ayn Rand would be proud) the scary thing about "sc2 is dying" "eSports is failing" "NA is doomed" is that it can become true because people are saying it. That people need to start saying "f**k yes, I love this game" and people need to, instead of whining, GO DO SOMETHING. I read a post you put up in... 2010, I think?... that effectively said this: Don't ask if people are interested. Don't ask other people what you can do to help them with setting up an event. Don't make a poll on Teamliquid to see if anybody would attend. JUST GO DO IT, keep it organized, and you will have a turnout. And you're doing that EXACT thing with StarCraft 2 and the Red Bull Training Grounds. I love it! I'm a proudly subscribed DayKnight ($5mo x Forever) and what you said in Episode #100 sticks with me. I love StarCraft, and I love that I love StarCraft. I'm EXCITED AS HELL for this, I'm going to share it on my Facebook, tell all my friends, tell my gf, and we're gonig to watch some StarCraft because F**K YES IT'S AWESOME!!!

Regardless, what am I, and other starcraft fans suppose to expect without an official press release about their stance on starcraft? Last I checked it was up to the community to play investigator based on messages sent over twitter and any snide remarks that adam or other MLG employees would make on TL.
