Hey all,

I've been having this problem for a while now, I think even before Heart of the Swarm came out. Basically what happens is quite often when I log in the 1v1 tab in both the ranked and unranked games are greyed out. It defaults to 2v2 and I actually can't even click on the 1v1. The solution is quite simple - I just log out and back in - but it's quite annoying to do every single time.

Anybody else have this problem and or know what the solution is? Thanks.

Yeah, I also sometimes have the problem, and the solution is just what you posted, that's all that I've found that can fix it.

I think it happens to me if I click match finding or whatever it's called, way too fast. If I let it linger a bit on the menu, it never happens. Still pretty annoying.

Are you one of the guys that clicks on matchmaking the second you have finished logging in? That was the cause of the problem for me and as the guy above said you just need to wait before clicking matchmaking.

The best thing to do is go load the unit preloader in the arcade every time you start up starcraft. This will help your computer, and then when you're finished go to matchmaking.

Loading the unit preloader every time kills 2 birds with one stone really, and you should never have this issue again.

If you DO click on matchmaking too soon, it won't work until you restart starcraft and WAIT this time.

happened 3 times today to me aswel . relog and fixes , if you exit game and reopen , it presists

This hasn't been a problem for me for a while but ever since this new season started it seems the problem has returned. I find that just clicking between the ranked and unranked tabs seems to solve the problem, no login/out required.

I don't pay attention to how quickly I press matchmakin,g but I would say me clicking it fast is a very high possibility since I only login when I want to play.

You don't have to relog. This happens quite frequently to me as well. Just press f1 or f# to go to other sections of the game then f2 back. This usually works for me.

A good way to tell how long you should wait on the home menu is to wait until your profile picture gets its league border around it. Once you get that, it's safe to go to match-making.

I thought I was alone! Well I figured someone else must have been facing this annoying problem. Thought about creating a thread about it but I just didn't have the cahones to present my findings to the wider audience of Team Liquid experts. Anyway OP I just want to say-- I support you. If I had to think back, I believe the problem started when they changed the order of the game tabs. It used to be 4v4 first, right?

Never happened to me :O sounds like something that happens when you are in a Party. :X Maybe sometimes the game doesnt recognize that you left a party or something?

I only play 1v1 and I never got the problem you described :O
