This is an "A"-move by Stephano. His brilliant approach to the game was picked apart by the entire community for over a year and now he has no advantage left. Smart to move on. GG.

If it is anything like the US medical school, there would be no time to be a professional gamer at any level. There are no college athletes that are also in the school’s medical program for good reason. And if French schools require a “Residency” in a hospital, he likely won’t have time to sleep.

oen of the coolest people in the scene. sad to see him go.

Korean trip destroyed his confidence.

It's a good move.. hopefully he'll be as good at being a doctor as he is at being being a zerg =)

IdrA gets released = 250 pages Stephano retires = 40 pages
It's kinda weird how little reaction this has gotten in comparison. Anyways, i'm sad to see him go; he was one of the VERY few zerg players i rooted for.

Man, I'm in uni and some of these kids get away with murder. When you got a big brain, you can take all the same courses and do a couple hours homework per day. It's true.

Bummer to see him go. Hopefully he finds the time to pop into some random tournaments. XD
Timing seems reasonable with med school likely starting in Sept. Gives him time to get setup and ready before classes begin.

It's not really teh same stuff : This thread : "good move by stephano, he was the best foreigner" with some derailing about med school Idra thread : "good move by EG", "EG how dare you, I will contact the sponsors", "Idra didn't accomplished anything", "idra had the most impact on the scene".
Idra thread is pretty much only arguing, wheras in this thread there's pretty much a consensus that he was the best foreigner (and it's hard to say he doesn't, just look how much time he was top1 of the tlpd, I think he was top1 for more than 3/4 of the time since his breakout....).

I don't recommend studying any less for any field. Whether it be med, biochem, engineering etc. Your priority should be your school and if you really want to be a pro gamer it's like having a full-time job. I don't know why anyone would want to ruin their market value if they cannot put the time and effort it truly requires especially when you've already established yourself. If you have any intention on making a return it's best to part ways and do what you have to do.

More like people don't know how to let things go. IdrA fan boys. Don't bother trying to understand them. I can say the same thing for a lot of other players too, but the dude brought up volume. Well, there you go. They're loud and obnoxious.

He's been threatening to quit for so long, I just don't care anymore. Quit if you're gona quit, right? Otherwise, don't.
Besides, now Jaedong plays.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed watching Stephano play, and for a long time, no one, and I do mean no one, could judge a battle's outcome like he could.

I still can't believe he won some of those tournaments! Well played.

It's kinda weird how little reaction this has gotten in comparison. Anyways, i'm sad to see him go; he was one of the VERY few zerg players i rooted for. IdrA has a more controversial personality. IdrA left after being released while Stephanos departure will be less dramatic. Stephano hasn't actually left yet. The thread for IdrA is older compared to Stephano.
And that's the reasons for the differences in view numbers.

See you Stephano Best of luck in your future!

Good luck with your studies. I hope you will play for fun though

Holy crap... Never saw this coming! Well GL GL GL!

Well, there's nothing really to discuss.
Stephano going out, on top and with class.
IdrA going out.
