Ah yes I remember. You posted something quite contentious about health at one point if not outright demonstrably false. When asked for sources or citations you said " i'm a medical student". I lol'd irl at that one.

You want to do med school (in fact med university is more correct) in France so: -you have to finish High School and have a Baccalauréat (annual exam at the end of High School), so, if you're not a genius, you have 18 years old. -the next year you enter in medecine university (always public), you can do it without exam or acceptance -you pay the university (maybe near 450euro with the student insurence) -the difficulty is the exam at the end of the first year to pass in second, there is a Numerus Clausus So Stephano, who start is pro gaming carrier in SC2 at 17, was just in High School and never goes to university or med school. And, in fact, he want to become engineer or do economic studies now, so the debate is stupid I already stated that, in that is far easier compared to the American version. And @ the person from Italy. the medical field standards are even easier then the ones in france, I can link you family history of my own person family members, (Mother is a doctor in USA, California, Uncle is a doctor in Italy, And have a cousin in france who is medical school) If you compare the Education System in the USA vs European or rest of the world, You can see the USA has the best and hardest education system and best, in any where else in the world. Which is why even rich celebs in euro rather have American medical services done, rather then Euorpean. Why then in almost every healthcare statics (like WHO) U.S is not even in top10? because good healthcare in the US is reserved for the wealthy.

Congratz to him for making that much money. Who cares if he's considered to be the best western player or not. He's earned the most money by far, that's what is important to him. It's the best decision to stop sc2 and get a solid education, there is no arguing about that. There must be legions of "progamers", who would not be able to do anything else, apart from some lowpaid asshole jobs, sadly. And it's those progamers who make the wrong choices, not Stephano, for sure.
But what I do find interesting is, that people consider players the best western players, who rode their horse ahead of the metagame for a few months, managed to win because of it and then were gone forever, after better players caught up.
Stephano performed well over a very long period of time, not acknowledging that, because he sometimes placed only top8 is .... well, not quite the reality.

Also med school is such an American thing. In the uk at least there is just university. You can do a degree in medicine as an undergraduate. No med school but I suppose you could say its just the same thing. Also stephano already said he won't do it probably do science or engineering instead.

Maybe in Australia. I don't know of many med students in the USA who get legitimate breaks during their residency. It's more like barely collapse on a bed for a few hours before going back to work.

It's more like barely collapse on a bed for a few hours before going back to work. i'm pretty sure you get a few weeks off each year. there's also days rostered as relief where you don't have to go in but just be on call. i guess you can't go partying those days, but staying at home and resting is most welcome. whenever you get a night shift you'll also get the next "day" off. probably different for different hospitals though, this is my experience

This is the right choice, because - as much as most kiddies here want to deny it - there is no transition from playing a computer game to a job and a regular life (apart from a VERY limited number of jobs inside the industry itself ... which are already taken).

I wish people would s*** about that medical school thing. Don't talk about what you don't know.
Stephano has an highschool diploma, but he is not part of a "medical school". In fact, there's no such thing as a medical school in France. There's a Faculty of medicine, which is open to anyone with a highschool diploma. The selection is the 1st year exams that you can try 2 times and where only the first N ranks succeed <=> usually ~15% success rate.
