Stop with the good bye -messages. He hasn't left yet. But why announce this months in advance?

Fantastic run, great choice bad judgement in some cases but hope he learns from those life experiences. Either way he is making the right choice and GL.

EG seem to be having a clearout of their 'ego' players.
Whos next?

Competition is tougher. I think he realise he wouldn't be able to grab money as easy as it was in WoL with a ton of talents in HotS right now..

Where are you getting this info lol? I'm pretty sure he's been saying he WANTS to study medicine, but havent made it into any med schools yet.

Sucky news, one of the few foreigners capable of going toe to toe with Koreans. There are so few :/

Not suprised, agreed that his play in hots looked way worse then in wol, he made a good amount though so i think he can be realy satisfied with his career. Good luck to stephano in the real world, hope he can grab the monnies there also

Judging from LingBlingBling's other posts, I do not think you should take anything he says seriously.

I find it obnoxious to say that he is the best foreigner in sc2 history when he isnt by miles. Success isnt measured in money, but much more in accomplishments.
In that regard jinro is the best foreigner in sc2 history and for me always will be since his lvl of play at that time still hasnt been matched to the day today by any foreigner. Right behind him is idra who just gets mocked by so many people despite him being a living legend and then thered be naniwa with 2 gsl code s ro8 back to back.
Stephano was honestly terrible vs koreans as he proved in his gsl run and winning foreign tournaments means nothing.

Which is why even rich celebs in euro rather have American medical services done, rather then Euorpean.

That report is weird in the sense it ranks countries, but then includes "Hong Kong" as a standalone.

Stephano is rated so highly BECAUSE of his wins against Koreans.
If you want to pretend winning foreign tournaments means nothing, then you should not expect to be taken seriously.

Isn't everyone missing the larger evil here? Stephano with a medical license terrifies me. Yes, ungodly steady hands probably, but between his obsession with knives and drinking, I would think twice before letting Stephano cut me open D:
Average serious progamer career lasts 2 years. A number try to find esports jobs, coaching, casting. It doesn't take a math degree to figure out that even though esports is growing enormously there's just not enough room for everyone. Teams actually play a big part in this, as do leagues. If you want to be an esports "lifer", you have to develop certain skills, marketing, promotion.
A large number end up with related jobs, game testing, working for gaming gear companies. Can we count poker?
However, the progamers that are best off are the ones that have degrees to fall back on.

Why then in almost every healthcare statics (like WHO) U.S is not even in top10?

In France if you want to study medecine, well you can. Just has to subscribe to the med uni. (it's about 400 euro/year) and there you get your chance to succeed.
So if Stephano wants to study medecine, he can :p
Anyway i think it's a good decision from him, and he can still come back on it if he wins WCS Eu and the season tournament, would fuel another year of progaming without problem.

Well, HK kind of is a country by itself. So I don't get your point. You just can't compare HK to China from what I know. BTW, USA education system is clearly 1st on one thing : thinking they are the best in the world on eveything.
