MMA vs. Mvp... EU is going to be an amazing region, right?

Poor Gom/GSL. They seem to be really getting the shortest end of the stick in all these. I feel as though they've spent all this time building themselves up as the premier league in the world, a prestigious league where most of the world's best players would want to play in to prove themselves.

And now Blizzard just steps in and replicates the GSL league system for NA and EU and draws away a good portion of the players. I think the loss of players and the replication of it makes GSL feel less unique and prestigious.

I hope they got some kind of benefit from this deal.

which could lead to a higher level of play in the foreigner scene, IF they take it as an oppurtunity.

So Korean in foreign teams just move to other regions. Only 4 ESF players follow through, and no KESPA.

GSL remains by far the strongest league, and becomes more of a Korean affair.

That's wrong.
20 European players can potentially kill Mvp.

NA only have Scarlett.

I don't think 20 EU players can kill Mvp in a bo3/bo5, look at IEM.

Offline ? Prob not . Online ? Totally different animal with the KR-EU lag.

Online I totally agree, I just thought most of WCS was offline. I guess we'll get new details on that soon.

Of course, MVP actually lost to both Monchi & Naama offline in Europe. If they can, 20 European players can.

How is EG-TL in proleague gonna work out? What happens to Coach park? Will the players just travel like crazy?

In my opinion regions should have been locked.

NA plays NA WCS

With the only exception being players permanently living in another region. Because of what's happening now Blizzard is kind of killing of their own concept of the WORLD?! championship series.

I said before on the previous QQ thread.

Our KR top GSL Code S 32 players are locked for the upcoming WCS. Which means, Code A/B will not have a chance to even qualify for it.

So since it's unfair for our B TEAMERS (some said), WE bring our lousy thrash b-teamers to beat your NA/EU top players!

Lose in Code S? NO PROBLEM! I come to your turf and dominate you. No chance to qualify? NO PROBLEM!! i come to your turf and dominate you again!

Blame who!? Blame BLIZZARD!!

Lol did you just call the list of KRs going to NA B-Teamers? hahahaj.

No i say. people say.

"I only put the quotation marks because none of your "best" like Flash, Innovation, Soo, Fantasy, etc. are playing in NA, its a bunch of B team Kespa players, Slayers rejects, and EG-TL (currently in last place in Proleague) wanting to play in other regions."

KESPA B TEAMERS EAT NA KIMCHI FOR DINNER NOMNOMNOM~

Dat trashtalking and making up stuff.

I think way more than 20 players can kill him in online qualifiers where he is going to play with heavy lag

IRC Round 16(could be 32 too ) on is going to be played offline in NA/EU. I sincerely doubt they directly seed any off the Koreans into the later rounds of the EU/NA tournament .

I think Blizzard is aware that they "screwed over" the american scene at least a bit and on the other hand they just purchased all that IPL stuff. Maybe expect some kind of american / EU citizen only tournaments?

Maybe they are even trying to do something with NASL? (We give you money, you don't allow Koreans, this is just some really random speculation though, but I think they will do something to make up for the WCS thing with the IPL thingy)

From what I understand about the format they should only have to travel 1 weekend. It would be like attending a weekend event. The rest is played online

I'm fairly certain they saw this coming...

And I'm fairly certain they don't care. (and IMO shouldn't care).

So it's basically a list of players that failed to qualify for GSL/dropped to Code A/B? Their moving abroad won't make the GSL lack in skill at all. They might dominate the foreigner scene and that's it.

You make it sound like the Koreans won't be playing each other, that can't be correct, right? Or am I misunderstanding you?

That was Mvp's worst tournament ever, and shouldn't be used as an example of how things will go now a little less than a year later.

I hope people don't start making statements that GSL level will drop.

Please tell me how many guys who are on the list are Code S right now.
None except for Taeja and Hyun.

GSL will still be the most toughest tournament now barring WCS Global finals.
Play your best
