Pretty cool lineup of people.

MVP, Nestea and the majority of them are actually no brainers as the most of them can't even get into the first final if they stay in Korea.

Keep in mind that a GSL style NA/EU tournament with similar prize money didn't exist before this.

Keep in mind that every country had a WCS last season and Koreans were only playing in the Korean WCS. Thus, non Koreans could actually win something...

The better way to get non-Koreans to win tournaments is to establish a continously running tournament structure where they can meet good players and get better. This does that.

O yeah? You have a lot of posts for being new to RTS. Welcome to RTS. How many top players weren't practicing on the Korean server? As long as you're playing people better than you, you have the chance to get better. If the person is too much better than you, though, you have no idea where to begin when it comes to fixing your play. In BW, I got to play iloevoov 6 or 7 times when he was the best player in the world. It was a reaffirming experience. Expect some of that.

Honestly this news is pretty fucking disgusting. Once again the SC2 scene in North America will continue to stagnate rather than develop. So while its great to see your C league (Nestea excluded) StarCraft 2 pros who couldn't cut it in Korea come to play in the American championships, this really needs to be reserved for North and South American players. Blizzard you guys need to fix this system, its already an issue.

But we don't need to see Koreans who can't qualify in Korea come to America to steal something that isn't theirs.

So all that money that didn't exist beforehand naturally belongs to foreigners... can't let the better players have it!!!

Catz said it better than I did.
Catz's thoughts

You want to grow a scene or do you want it to stagnate and shrink? We're going through a revival of SC2 after the last 8-10 months of crappy games. But lets go back to what it was.

Can't help but notice that Root is choosing to let one of the Korean players play on NA.

But RootSage is Moving to NA.....so it makes sense

I said before on the previous QQ thread.

Our KR top GSL Code S 32 players are locked for the upcoming WCS. Which means, Code A/B will not have a chance to even qualify for it.

So since it's unfair for our B TEAMERS (some said), WE bring our lousy thrash b-teamers to beat your NA/EU top players!

Lose in Code S? NO PROBLEM! I come to your turf and dominate you. No chance to qualify? NO PROBLEM!! i come to your turf and dominate you again!

Blame who!? Blame BLIZZARD!!

Lol did you just call the list of KRs going to NA B-Teamers? hahahaj.

That's wrong.
20 European players can potentially kill Mvp.

NA only have Scarlett.

I don't think 20 EU players can kill Mvp in a bo3/bo5, look at IEM.

Oh no!

I'm sorry but I'm having a real hard time sympathizing with all this entitlement coming out of the foreign scene right now.

There will always be international tournaments with tons of top koreans stomping foreigners, but many wanted WCS to be the starcraft olympics. National champions being sent to the world final etc. Would you not enjoy that? Some regional competission leading up to a world final on top of all the international stuff?

GSL styles leagues in every timezone is more important than making WCG v2.

And the prizepool should've been different . You can't have the same prizepool for tournaments that are completely different competition wise. Period. There should be a real reward for choosing to play against harder competition . Especially when the competitions function just as qualfiers anyway.

No i say. people say.

"I only put the quotation marks because none of your "best" like Flash, Innovation, Soo, Fantasy, etc. are playing in NA, its a bunch of B team Kespa players, Slayers rejects, and EG-TL (currently in last place in Proleague) wanting to play in other regions."

then what would someone like polt do? he moved to na for school. so he would be forced to play KR with lag?

Live in na, play in na. Also like 90% of the koreans playing in a different region will play most of it from kr with lag too...

I do agree that everyone besides people not living in eu/na/kr should be forced to play in their respective region. Oh well maybe blizzard will learn when season 1 grand slam is 15 koreans and a white guy.

I think ladder practice in the US will finally be worth while investment. If they move over to the america it will raise the skill level.

Hardly, GSL lost like 2 Code S players and 3-4 Code A players, all of whom are easily replaceable. The Korean scene is so stacked with talent, it really doesn't matter. The majority of switchers were in Code B.

Code S isn't really hurt. the chance of cycling out players might have taken a hit but Code S is barely being affected. Code A takes a bigger hit

EU is a really bad choice for korean players, unless they come over to play. You have a horrible lag from KR to EU and wise versa. So it's understandable most of them choosed NA.
