EU players are probably the biggest winners (not the ones in Korea though), most latency from KR and the most expensive flights as well. I don't see Koreans choosing to play in WCS EU instead of NA (or KR), or their teams allowing it.

SPL and GSTL means most Koreans will stay in Korea.

None of them will leave, it's a matter of playing on NA/EU with the lag, going to the LANs, and taking foreigner points.

Watch OSL/GSL then. TTTTTTTTTTTTT

I can't stay up to 5am watching sc2, some of us actually have responsibilities. Before I could at least watch the top koreans when they came to crush foreigners at MLG and IPL, but now I don't even get that opportunity anymore.

Are VODs not an option?

VODs will NOT be free!

Well if you are so busy working, support the scene and subscribe.

If its like GSL (~100$/year) - no chance in hell! If its like ProLeague (5$ for the year) no question.

100$ a year for something you enjoy is pretty cheap.

I thought most people were past this, guess not. Get a pass with a friend if it's such a huge deal.

Am I right that MLG and ESL will still be putting on their standard circuit events which will be independent of their respective WCS seasons this year? And anyone can attend those standard events? I am confused because it seems that GSL/OSL "standard" events will now become WCS events? And thus placing well in a standard GSL will grant WCS points? But doing the same in a standard MLG event will not?

Less than 10 bucks a month? I don't sub to them even though I would love to, so I'm not blaming you

And playing at 3am when they have a 10am Proleague match the next day? Don't think so.

It's pretty cheap sir. Don't buy $10 worth of something per month and it's covered.

If I had to take a stab in the dark about how pricing will work.

You pay GOM and OGN for WCS.KR (aka, GSL/OSL) VODs and 1080p and other premium stuff.
You pay MLG for WCS.NA VODs and 1080p and other premium stuff.
You pay IEM for WCS.EU VODs and 1080p and other premium stuff.

The corresponding season finals are covered by their geographically corrispondant ticket, or a weekend-style one off final ticket.

The Blizzcon grand final at the end of the year will either be free, or you pay blizzard (or GOM/MLG/IEM/whoever if a particular external company is doing the production) some weekend-style one off ticket.

I don't get the point of restriction.
From what I understand the only thing you can't do is play in more than one regional league.
You can still gather points all over the world if your team can afford the travel.

GSL pass -> VODs. Stop seeing problems and look for solutions.

EDIT: this is how i think it is going to work.

VODs are vastly inferior to watching something live, you can't even begin to compare them. I used to pay for GSL to get access to the VODs but then I realized I never watched them because there is zero excitement in watching something that is days old.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't think that KeSPA guys are even going to think about it, but the Code B eSF guys on teams with money? I think it's a smart thing to do.

Yes, but they said there could be points from other things so standard MLGs could grant points to people from any region from what i understand, but I think it was mentioned that anaheim wont. Not 100% on the details
