You pay GOM and OGN for WCS.KR (aka, GSL/OSL) VODs and 1080p and other premium stuff. You pay MLG for WCS.NA VODs and 1080p and other premium stuff. You pay IEM for WCS.EU VODs and 1080p and other premium stuff. The corresponding season finals are covered by their geographically corrispondant ticket, or a weekend-style one off final ticket. The Blizzcon grand final at the end of the year will either be free, or you pay blizzard (or GOM/MLG/IEM/whoever if a particular external company is doing the production) some weekend-style one off ticket.

From what I understand the only thing you can't do is play in more than one regional league. You can still gather points all over the world if your team can afford the travel.

VODs are vastly inferior to watching something live, you can't even begin to compare them. I used to pay for GSL to get access to the VODs but then I realized I never watched them because there is zero excitement in watching something that is days old.

I am confused because it seems that GSL/OSL "standard" events will now become WCS events? And thus placing well in a standard GSL will grant WCS points? But doing the same in a standard MLG event will not?

Yes, but they said there could be points from other things so standard MLGs could grant points to people from any region from what i understand, but I think it was mentioned that anaheim wont. Not 100% on the details
