I don't know how they can make that possible. That would allow people who attend tournaments outside of the WCS/GSL seasons to gather extra points that aren't available to those who can't attend for various reasons.

I can't stay up to 5am watching sc2, some of us actually have responsibilities. Before I could at least watch the top koreans when they came to crush foreigners at MLG and IPL, but now I don't even get that opportunity anymore.

No Code S Korean isn't going to show up at MLG when $25,000 is on the line because of WCS.

Can't watch it live everyday so guess i'll keep getting tickets :p Yeah, that is what I will do, well I guess already did (I haven't got GSTL yet but I was waiting for this announcement before getting my season pass because of that rumour about GSTL going away). Stay up until 3AM my time to watch live and not be able to rewatch or pay $60 per year for VODs. Pretty easy answer if you ask me. Yup yup, been getting tickets for around 2 years now..so it'll be all normal for me :p

Stop seeing problems and look for solutions.
EDIT: this is how i think it is going to work.

If its like GSL (~100$/year) - no chance in hell! If its like ProLeague (5$ for the year) no question.

SPL and GSTL means most Koreans will stay in Korea.
|
I do think the Korean player pool could get smaller as even fewer Korean events mean even fewer chances to play broadcasted games for the majority of up and coming pro players so it might not seem viable to continue trying to go pro for as many young players.
I could see teams dying.

They used an offline server at the last IEM that was running the HotS beta after the beta closed, and it had some technical difficulties sometimes.
