Excludos I think you are a bit confused about the situation. What you are thinking (or was told, which was wrong) is that if you have an NA and EU license on the same account, then you still have those two seperate licenses as long as you have their respective game client. I have tried this and it still limits me to a total of 3 "characters" on NA, EU, KR. If you log onto EU server from the NA client, it still brings up the account that is tied to your EU license, although you should have a completely different "character" on there from the NA license.

Something like this: I bought NA license, named Elairec. I bought EU license, named it ZergOP. Upon release of the global play (assuming I only want to play on EU, NA, KR), I should have the option to log onto NA and create a new character for my EU license, log onto EU and create a new character for my NA license, and log onto KR and create two new characters for both licenses. However what is happening is I log onto NA and am pigeonholed into playing under the character Elairec without any option to play under my EU license. Same thing happens when I log onto the EU server; I am forced to play with my EU license with no option for my NA license. When I log onto the KR server, there is only one opportunity to create a new character when there should be two. It doesn't even matter if I run the game through an EU client or NA client. In the end I (and others) paid for two games and are being held to just one being useful. If I had registered it onto another email, then there wouldn't be an issue as I would have access to two characters on NA, EU, and KR.

In the end, all I want is to be able to transfer over one of my licenses into a seperate account, for which I have NOT received a response for my ticket on. I dont care if I have to buy two HoTS to upgrade both of them - that is the only logical thing for Blizzard to have us do anyways.

"To clarify, you can use both of your licences seperately.

To access the US licence you need a US region game client
To access the EU licence, you need an EU region game client.

Both of these can be run seperately at this time."

from blizzard costumer service.

That goes directly against what you're saying. The way I read it, you should be able to access EU from your US client, and have a different character than if you logged into EU with an EU client. That would also be the logical way of doing it.

Unfortunately Global Play wasn't planned back then (I referred to a ticket 1,5yrs back in my ticket) and therefore many players used the opportunity to create two accounts for different regions. A refund isn't possible in this case since both accounts were legitimately useable., da beide Accounts ja entsprechend genutzt werden konnten. We apologize for any inconvenience.

this gotta be a huge joke since this wont stand any ground infront of any court.

Aaand then this goes directly against what was said earlier. I'm starting to wonder if they themselves know..

It doesn't matter what the website says or how you interpret it. The fact remains that no matter if you are logging on with an EU client or an NA client, you are still logging in with the SAME email and all the licenses have been MERGED. The fact I stated that I installed seperate clients and it doesn't react the way you interpret it should just flew right over your head? The purpose of different clients is not to seperate licenses, but to enforce different region language packs. Having a seperate EU client is the same as relocalizing your NA client to run on the EU server.

I'm amazed you have different regional clients for hots yet considering they don't exist. All clients for hots beta are at this moment US only. Thats why it flew over my head.

Yes, it is the same email, but it will still work like it did in WoL. You are not relocalizing the whole client when you choose to play in another region with global play. Thats why you will have different characters based on what region client you used to login with... or at least thats what they say. We can only trust them not lying to us after all. If its like you say after the beta is finished, then I'll join you in the whining chorus.

Well why the f are you whining about WoL? I have more than one account on WoL right now, and I can easily use them seperately depending on which client you use to login with. Do you even know how the region client works? There is one for each seperate region. One for EU, one for US, one for KR. etc. And you need to use a special relocalizer program OR install seperate sc2 clients on your hdd. it doesn't matter that its the same email adress, you can still access them seperately, same as you will be able to in HoTS.

edit: nvm. You clearly know how it works. Then I honestly don't see your problem. Earlier you said:

and this is exactly how it will be when global play is put into action. There is no way for you to test this now. You can't: "The fact I stated that I installed seperate clients and it doesn't react the way you interpret it should just flew right over your head?" have tested this in any way since global play is not put into action yet.

ok you still dont seem to understand the issue:
you = bought 1 copy of sc2 (lets say 40€) = you can play 1xEU 1xNA 1xKR
we = bought 2 copies of sc2 (therefore 80€) = we can play 1xEU 1xNA 1xKR
see the problem?
i dont think i can explain it easier than this. if you still dont get it then im really sorry for you in your further life

Thats now how its going to work, if you're to believe costumer service. You buy 3 copies of sc2 (120€) = we can play 3xEU, 3xNA, 3xKR. This is what I've been trying to say all along. Once global play is put into action, if you log into EU with the US client, you will have a different character than if you log into EU using the EU client, or the KR client. Apparantly you're even suppose to be able to play against yourself using the same account.

So you think the current global play option isn't going to be the final product? Please don't be so naive. I will eat my shirt however if when it is "officially" released, we are given the option to log into different licenses on each server.

What current global play option are you talking about? Right now the only option is to install seperate clients. In the final product you'll be able to switch regions after having logged in.

well you definately didnt try it ... by license they dont mean the different licenses you bought. they meant the different version of the same license. so you still have one overall game license but can use it on each server (aka Global play).
so it is still: You buy 3 copies of sc2 (120€) = we can play 1xEU, 1xNA, 1xKR

if you dont believe me why dont your just try it at your own instead of theory craft here?

everything else is just wrong interpretation (maybe lie in this case was wrong but its still the same situation in the end)

Hello,

After the Introduction of Global Play, mutliple Starcraft versions got removed from my account allthough i legitimately payed for it. Back then, when i created a ticket for adding a second SC2 version to my account (Ticket#: EU21420530) the response was that there are no plans for Global Play, which changed by now obviously. What will be the next steps regarding this issue? Will there be a second SC2 key (for a different account obviously) or will there maybe be a free HotS as refund?

BR

also you really shouldnt write in this thread since you have absolutely no knowledge what you are talking about

Ok, I stand corrected, you didn't ask for a refund for the copy of SC2. However, in Blizzard's defense, you asked for free HotS as a "refund", which would imply that you would get a free key for HotS. So they were 100% accurate, since they are allowing you to upgrade all acounts with one copy of HotS(from what I have read), but you don't get extra keys. So the answer is, Blizzard is not making you buy several copies of HotS, but they are not "giving" you anything.

Blizzard CSRs are probably still with an old script that is no longer correct.

The fact is, right now, you can access the EU servers, with a EU region game client, without having ever bought a EU license, all you need is to have bought a US, SEA, KR, or TW license. In addition, I can access the same EU character I had prior to global play with the US client connecting to the EU servers. So, they have incorrect information, which is probably going to be the case until they officially add support for global play.

I need proof of that happening. People keep claiming that the licences were "deleted" but I have not seen any evidence of this. Some people have claimed they linked several copies of SC2 to a single Bnet account, which is impossible last I checked(it was a launch). There seems to be a ton of misinformation going on.

and you are wrong when you say that they didnt take anything away. until now i had the option to play offrace on my second account while not messing up my mmr on my main account. since they deleted the second copy of sc2 i only have account left (with which i can play on all servers though). so in the end i still payed the double amount of money for the same game as someone has who only bouhgt one copy. and hots doesnt change anything aswell i still have to buy 1x hots to have 1x hots license ... its the same for you. also i never wanted a hots key in return i just added that as an option to not sound like a prick which demands only one thing. that was just beacuse i was friendly.

I need proof of that happening. People keep claiming that the licences were "deleted" but I have not seen any evidence of this. Some people have claimed they linked several copies of SC2 to a single Bnet account, which is impossible last I checked(it was a launch). There seems to be a ton of misinformation going on.

You are completely wrong. It has NEVER been impossible to link multiple SC2 Regional licenses to a single bnet account. I have had a US, Taiwan, and an EU license on my account. It previously showed all 3 licenses, now however it only shows a single license with no region attached.

I would love to show you a screen shot of my two licenses of NA and EU on the same account, but now they are all merged into one stand alone. This is how it is displayed currently:

Before adding global play, it listed WoL NA client and WoL EU client in the list.
