We’ve recently published a new custom version of Antiga Shipyard, called "Antiga Shipyard (1.5.3 Balance)," in which we’re testing small balance changes to StarCraft II. This map has different balance adjustments than the previous version we published on November 20. With this test, we’re continuing to consider the meta-game around Zerg. Here’s the situation: - After testing the adjustment to Fungal Growth, we found it to be too big of a change.
- Global statistics don’t give us the impression that Zerg players have a general advantage, especially at the highest levels of play.
- We agree with the community that everyone could possibly benefit from some attention to Infestors.
Here’s what we’re testing: Raven Seeker Missile no longer requires an upgrade.- As before, this should slightly promote Raven usage without completely altering the Terran late game.
Egg health reduced to 80 (was 100).- In this test, we’re looking at bringing down the impact of Infested Terrans. When players have a dozen or more Infestors, they aren’t using 20 Fungals at once. Rather, they’re relying on Infested Terrans. The question we hope to answer is: Will the Zerg’s opponents kill some of the eggs before Infested Terrans spawn?
We’d like to see how this plays out on the testing map. These aren’t final changes, and we’re looking for feedback that is based on playtesting. After you’ve thoroughly tested it, please join us in this discussion thread.Thank you very much! http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/7200033132

These are the most embarrassingly worthless changes possible. I'm seriously contemplating quitting this game if this is how Blizzard approaches balance.

Sensationalism ahoy!

Am I the only one who thinks that Egg health reduction WITH 20 hp doesnt change anything with this? The problem with infested terran is, it does way too much dmg and you get way too much of them...
But I like the thing that they took fungal away the way they wanted it to be changed... But what about of making new unit type to the game "caster" which includes infestor, mothership, Ht, Ghost, raven and it wouldn't hit those, instead of whole P arsenal!

You cant kill eggs when they have 0 attack priority. Period. If there is a single zergling within attack range, every single unit you have, ranged, melee, trapped or otherwise will shoot at it and overkill it by thousands of damage before turning to shoot at eggs.
IT problem cant be solved by reducing the hp on eggs that dont have attack priority by 20%, im pretty embarassed for blizzard for even thinking that could have a notable effect.

So instead of an egg soaking up 2 tank shots it will now soak up...
2 tank shots.
Progress!

What the FUCK? Blizz seriously? You aren't changing fungal? Seriously...SERIOUSLY?
...
Srsly...?

Well when do terran players have their tanks focus IT's when they normally will focus the infestors themselves? I imagine this is more of an impact with other units like immortals/stalkers/marine/marauder/etc. Tanks aren't the main counter to IT's anyway...

Shiori pretty much said it, I'm feeling the exact same way. These changes are pathetic. Its funny too that apparently Blizzard doesn't consider GSL code S the "highest level of play"; where TvZ is 34% and PvZ is 39%.

infestor will still be pretty good vs. everything. this is what needs to be changed. its a spellcaster, not a core unit!

I was more referring to that thing Zerg do where they burrow an infestor and chuck eggs either in front of tanks to soak up that first volley or on top of your tanks so they shoot each other.
It's also a snarky comment and I can barely help myself from making those (apologieS)

every time i read anything about blizzards stance on balance, it makes me glad i quit sc2

Seriously?
The psionic change actually gave people an option vs late game infestors and they take it out? In favor of infested terrans?
Common blizzard...

It's a TEST. Stop acting like these changes are final.

Thanks god they reverted that change.

lol. So Sad Why Blizz!

My computer says November the 30th, not April the first. Or did I miss something? C'mon... That's some pretty high level trolling from Blizzard here. Most of the time eggs aren't even touched before ITs spawn anyway, who could possibly think this will achieve anything? Why do they even bother trying to make changes anyway if their global statistics tell them the game is fine?

In what universe are they getting there info from? At first I thought I must be taking crazy pills....Turns out...blizzard is sucking these down like candy
