Revival can potentially be given an opportunity to travel the world and win easy (easier) money, rather than share a packed pro-house in some flat in Seoul with another 10 Koreans all crammed up. Makes sense to me.
You think they arent jealous of Puma in that amazing EG house in Arizona or ForGG travelling in France? If I were a pro gamer, I would rather be good than to live in a fancy house.
dont kid yourself
player A works 6h/day and gets ~3k/month total player B works 10h/day and gets 2k/month total
and you want to be player B?
yes i pulled numbers out of my ass :p

I'll do a slightly more accurate number crunching for you
Player A works 10 hours a day and gets 0 a month total (esf player) Player B works 8 hours a day and gets 500 a month total ( Korean player on foreign team)
Player A Get his entire expenses covered for him. He doesn't have to worry about anything but playing and being his best. He lives with his friends and gets to have fun in his free time with his friends.
Player B gets 500 a month, works almost the same hours but lives with his family, and doesn't get much time to see his friends, since he has to travel across the city to see them. He also has to listen to his family complain about his career and try to force him into a career that is more "proper" and makes more money.
Player A improves rapidly and always is up to date with the current meta game, and has people whom he can bounce ideas and practice with.
Player B doesn't have many practice partners, and is unable to bounce ideas off of anyone.
Player A has a good chance of mkaing it into Code A, which although not a lot of money, he can make a lot if he improves and does well.
Player B has very little chance of doing well in or ourside Korea, since the competition is so swamped in foreign compeitions that being a Code A level player isn't going to get you very far.
That is a lot more accurate than your tbh. Although Player B will benefit in the short term, in the long term he likely won't make as much money. Someone like revival though won't do well, since he isn't a top tier player, although he is extremely good, he has a wealth of competition.

I would agree with you if it wasn't for the fact that in SC2 the difference in skill can be extremely small in addition to how easy it is for a less-skilled player to take games off a higher-skilled. Your explanation worked in Brood War...

YEAH!!! I'm so sad with the news.. It's break my heart reading this........

This seems to be happening to a lot of mid-tier Korean pros. They aren't winning any major tourneys or saving up money so they feel like they are treading water with eSF teams. The problem is, most of these players aren't accomplished enough or well known enough to land a gig with a foreign team. Look at Genius, he is probably the best unsigned Korean pro at the moment and he has been without a team for months. If Genius can't land one, I'm not sure this was the best move by Revival.

I'm not sure how easy it will be for Revival to find a new team. Afaik Yugioh is still free and if he hasn't been able to find a team yet I don't know how Revival will do.

Meh, when you look at players like taeja or hero who have so much raw skill, the lack of practice partners really shows when they play in the gsl

Team Acer moving in to the korean scene. Acer Zerg team...

Liquid.Revival!, I think this could be an awesome addition to the Liquid team, I mean, one more zerg never hurts! This is even though Liquid already has three zergs, I still think he could be a valuable choice. Especially if Liquid plans on getting into GSTL...
