And sc2's singleplayer experience was pretty damn good, even though the story was kinda lacklustre. In terms of gameplay it probably was one of the best RTS campaigns we had in a long time, i personally played it like 3-4 times or something, and enjoyed every playthrough.

Eventhough the story could be improved(let's be honest, all of Blizzard's games story are pretty bad and cheesy but it's their iconic characters that made it interesting) but I think WoL's gameplay in campaigne is the best I have played for RTS.

Yeah, Blizz sales their games for the recommended retail price. Retailers are cheaper in most cases. I'm going for the collector's edition so I'm gonna pay more anyway. It's still funny, that 1 $ is 1 € for Blizz. ^.^

It's not "too" expensive, it's just expensive relative to what you are getting. If you are just playing for ladder, $40 is an overpayment compared to what other (new multiplayer) games you can get for the same cost. You are actually allowed to say something is overpriced even if you can afford it. Shocking right? Overpriced by what metric? I'm guessing a large majority of TL users have spent hundreds of hours of entertainment playing 'just ladder'. At least by my standards $40 for hundreds of hours of content isn't unreasonable... And apart from micro centric transaction games (which a lot of people here tend to dislike) how many games operate on the basis of you only pay for what you want to pay? I can't think of any games that let you only pay a fraction of the price if you choose to only access single or multiplayer, or only certain characters to use. And compared to other 'new multiplayer' games, compared to games like CoD having a new version released every year with minimal changes, or Battlefield having a whole bunch of expansions within a few months, to WoW requiring a monthly subscription I still can't see how $40 is considered overpriced... But anyone is more than welcome to enlighten me ^^

Lets face it, some people expect it to be $10. People can't remember that far back. BW was pretty bad at release, it wasn't until much much later that it became awesome. This whole thing about people complaining about cost is really nothing new. Pretty much every time any company announces a PC game's release date now, check the comments section and it's full of people saying things like "I'd pay $20 for it at most!" and such. PC gamers are cheap these days, except when it comes to DLC/micro-transactions where they seem to have no self control. Haha. Myself included sometimes. Edit: If a person plays the multiplayer of SC2 I'd say it's hard for HotS to NOT be worth it. Shit .. I've paid at least $150~ on Street Fighter 4 + DLC, plus I specifically bought an arcade stick for that game, and it's worth it because I've gotten so much time out of that game. Thousands of hours. For SC2 it's similar, so for me it's definitely worth it. $40 is nothing for hundreds if not thousands of hours of playtime.

Yeah, let's relativize everything. Hell, I don't see why everybody hates murder. It's nothing compared to war.

Just the sheer amount of hours we get out of it is just stupid with all the other $40 games out there.

I was giving examples of how I thought this was untrue. However good job comparing game prices to murder...

And Valve. Where everything is in Dollar. I don't know why no other company does it like that. Well, I don't know too much about other companies tbh, but I know that for steam and blizzard it is 1 $ is 1 € . If we have to pay by credit card it doesn't matter shit if it is $ or €.
