Points gained from Proleagues and OSLs and maybe even MSLs of BW past are still included, but they decay over time and will eventually get replaced by points from the latest results of the SC2 OSL and hopefully the upcoming SC2 Proleague that I assume is still coming.

The ranking and elo numbers are heavily biased towards recent, deep individual leagues such as OSL and formerly the MSL. Proleague match results count far less than these individual league results. As such, you often see no names come out of nowhere and skyrocket the rankings if they make an unexpected, deep run such as a Royal Road attempt (Last, Rain). This is generally due to the higher number of games one plays against higher and higher ranked players in the later rounds of a tourney such as OSL. Elo decays over time with the about 1 year of lingering boosts to your ranking (see Jangbi, Fantasy still high up from their 2 finals appearances from last year) To: Mr.MateShade you have no idea about what you are talking about or the history behind these rankings and the significance of the ranking. Buzz off kindly until you can better inform yourself and comprehend the situation before you comment on it. b
