These were cool when they took into account the OSL, MSL, and proleague. I'm assuming this only counts OSL now, as it's the only kespa ran tournament, so now it seems kinda pointless cause you can just look at OSL results instead..

They didn't reset things for the transition to Brood War? Or? I feel like I'm being bombarded with a wave of ridiculous information.

Seems to be both, based on OSL and Proleague.

They really ought to redo the formula to put more emphasis on proleague. With the MSL gone this is essentially an OSL ranking.

Relevant to both BW and SC2, also KeSPA players. I guess I'm wrong, you did use your brain, it is just too slow.

No its not. You can't use these rankings to determine anything other than who won the osl lol.

OSL and proleague. Better than GSL ranking.

What does GSL ranking do, only determine who won GSL, right?

Yeah, because Flash got second place in the last OSL. That's why he's second.

Some of the BW leagues are still represented in these rankings. Points gained from Proleagues and OSLs and maybe even MSLs of BW past are still included, but they decay over time and will eventually get replaced by points from the latest results of the SC2 OSL and hopefully the upcoming SC2 Proleague that I assume is still coming.

You clearly have absolutely no experience with Kespa ranking or how the system works. The ranking and elo numbers are heavily biased towards recent, deep individual leagues such as OSL and formerly the MSL. Proleague match results count far less than these individual league results.
As such, you often see no names come out of nowhere and skyrocket the rankings if they make an unexpected, deep run such as a Royal Road attempt (Last, Rain). This is generally due to the higher number of games one plays against higher and higher ranked players in the later rounds of a tourney such as OSL. Elo decays over time with the about 1 year of lingering boosts to your ranking (see Jangbi, Fantasy still high up from their 2 finals appearances from last year)

To: Mr.MateShade you have no idea about what you are talking about or the history behind these rankings and the significance of the ranking. Buzz off kindly until you can better inform yourself and comprehend the situation before you comment on it. b

Meaningless ranking without GSL results. Taking Proleague into account also means unless they include ESF teams it would be very difficult for their players to break in.

the most remarkable thing for this is that rain is only +3.

The rankings are pretty meaningless since they conflate results from two different games and don't account for most ESF players like Mvp, Life, and Seed or foreignerslike Stephano.

Pretty bad ranking, in my opinion. Doesn't really provide a good idea of who has the greatest skill or results.
It wrongly contains points from BW, and it fails to account for a proper amount of leagues. At the very least, it must contain all the major Korean tournaments. Including the major foreign tournaments would be optimal, maybe not probable, but optimal. After all, placing high in a foreign tournament is definitely not something to be ignored. More than one career has been made on owning up foreign tournaments, and more than one rising star made a name for himself in the higher ends of an MLG or Dreamhack bracket.

Even more so, since they literally consider only Proleague and OSL, thus ignoring the majority of top SC2 players (GSL players).

I guess it does fill a bit of a role as an anti-GSL-point-ranking though

Stephano is probably a better SC2 player than most of these KESPA players.

These seem accurate. I hope Flash can make #1 soon though

I'm curious how these are calculated. Not that I have an issue with the rankings, it's just I've never seen them before.

How is MVP not on this? He's the most consistent Korean Terran that ever...is.

Sigh.

KeSPA rankings: ranking for events run under KeSPA. Is it that hard to understand?

Points for older (BW) tournaments will eventually not count due to point degradation, so it is not an issue.

Because MVP hasn't done anything in any Kespa tournaments recently.
