I've no doubt that that she was to blame in some capacity for the Slayers drama, but to characterize her as malicious or evil or the sole problem is presumptive at best and dishonest otherwise. We don't have access to the truth here. It's in the best interests of the players to come up with a story that will allow them to continue to play Sc2 competitively. I don't mean to say that they're lying, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they'd omitted details or put a positive spin on events in which they were more complicit than they'd care to admit. Jessica may be overbearing, but it's clear that she really does care about her players in a sort of motherly fashion. While that may have been her downfall, her statement doesn't suddenly fly out the window because MMA released a different version. The intelligent thing to do would be to try and find out which of the statements is actually accurate, not presume the one from everyone's favourite Terran is correct just because he made a controversial comment about Boxer. (On a side note, I'm amazed that all these people who have never been to Korea are suddenly talking as if MMA's accusation about Boxer quitting because of Jessica is some sort of infallible comment simply because of how important it is). This is a well done "devil's advocate" statement. Cheers~

Siding with/feeling sorry for MMA does not mean they hate all women and live in their parents basement. She has been causing drama since she came into the scene. Seeing Jessica as evil =/= a misogynist neckbeard -.- It was a fucking god awful post. End of story. Yeah this guy you've quoted obviously hasn't seen the old shit storm that jessica put on, on twitter. Everyone remembers that debacle. Tweet after tweet after tweet towards alot of people and just out in the public. Pissed SC2 fans off on twitter seeing all the trash that went on. Hell even now with the back and forth between MC and Jessica a few days ago. The SC2 twitter translation people wouldnt even touch those tweet. Some nice person from the TL community came out and had to translate them for us so we knew what was going on.

I've always sided with the players in the dispute with Slayers, but I think its clear that she is willing to burn everything down around her to get the last word in and she's not worth getting into a fight with. She has nothing left but to save face and the lengths she'll go to do so scare me. Just get your release, move on and learn your lesson. That's my advice to former Slayers employees. Especially Cella.... that guy has a bright future IMHO.

![]() Honestly, I hope that all of the players get settled somehow and continue playing successfully. I always enjoyed watching MMA's matches. I'm not sure what all the mud-slinging now is supposed to accomplish (and no, ending each interview with "I'm sorry for everything and it's no one's fault really" doesn't negate whole paragraphs of bickering beforehand).

I was really lollin when I read the part about her reading forums and then trying to backseat drive Boxer's strats. I don't know why more teams don't try that!

When he gave her so much power in the team, he was inevitably asking for the types of situations where it was either siding with his players or siding with his fiance... either a lose-lose position for both his personal and professional relationships. The thing about Boxer is that he always wanted to be a player first. He wanted that in SKT as well after he returned from the army, and he switched to Starcraft 2 specifically to play the game, not to coach or manage anyone. The original Slayers was made out mostly from a bunch of teamless players that practiced with Boxer after he switched. It was always going to be somebody else that would actually run and manage the team, and Jessica was the easiest choice (or perhaps it was too difficult to make a different choice).

![]() It's not going to make things better to point fingers when everything is ruined. I'm very very sad about BoxeR quitting. I hope MMA picks up the pieces and gets his old form back soon in a new team.

I mean, really, what's the point? What does this get us? No matter whose side you take, you can't pretend you know everything that happened. No matter whose side you take, all you're doing is adding to the drama. Does it matter who's 'right' at this point? The cat's out of the bag now, so we can't just pretend nothing happened... but we can at least try to be productive. Instead of focusing blame, maybe we should try to figure out what can be done in the future to avoid this kind of shitstorm. This happened with the TSL transfer scandal too. Emotions run wild, a clusterfuck of blame occurs. Hopefully we can all at least learn not to let emotions run away with us in the future. Hopefully teams will learn not to let bad feelings fester and promote better communication. Hopefully the next time something like this comes along, we can move on a little more smoothly and get back to some awesome games. Hopefully. ![]()

If there's a massive problem in a team-house, and you have two adults over 30 who have the purse-strings and all the authority, then I'm going to say that the bulk of the responsibility is there's. Who calls someone 'cancer' anyway? Jesus.
